Doherty looked like he hasn’t played football in a year tho, IMOEven Doherty looked ok as a left sided WB in Conte's system, Sessegnon would profit a lot from it obviously if he can stay healthy.

Sorry but come on. Just look at the facts
299 apps was a club record, but over a 12 year period.
On average that’s 25 per season (when we averaged 45 games per season)
In his last 9 years at spurs he only played more than 26 times in a single season twice.
This isn’t to denigrate Anderton’s quality- he was amazing and incredibly loyal too (shamefully didn’t get a testimonial either).
The sicknote tag is a sad way to be remembered but you can’t say he was an ever present because it’s just not true.
For comparison, luka modric played 127 times in a 4 year period. If he’d have stayed as long as anderton he might have broken 500 apps.
Along way to go of course for him to get where he needs to be but I feel like he would be perfect for conte’s system, up and down and can score goals as he’s shown at Fulham, hopefully his fitness issues can be put behind him and he becomes the player we hoped, there’s no better manager to learn the ropes from his perspective

Despite obviously things going terribly so far for Sessegnon at Spurs, I have a big soft spot for him. I thought he always looked more intelligence than athletic prowess when watching him for Fulham. He just seemed to have a knack for finding the right pass, right run. That plus the fact he seemed so genuinely excited to be at Spurs. I remember day he joined and his interview and his face being lit up on the signing picture. There was a video too of him talking about Bale's spurs kit, I just really hope he has a chance to come good for us.
Sorry - that should have read 400That is some wild maths
This is exactly it. Sess isnt particularly skillful and he is a good physical presence but he isnt ultra athletic or quick like bale was. What stood him out at fulham was the ability to find the right pass or be in the right place. Actually quite a subtle player with very solid technique as well. He had very little, however, in the way of trickery and definitely has never been a flair player.Despite obviously things going terribly so far for Sessegnon at Spurs, I have a big soft spot for him.
