In club that priorities the actual football I would be inclined to agree with you, but it would simply make too much sense for it to pan out like that here. Levy will try his usual wheeling and dealing for some C-grade player in Ukraine with 24 hours to go at the end of January and fail, as he always do. This will leave us depending on Skipp to transform in to a white Kante in order to somehow try to compete for top 4. Mourinho will continue his downward spiral and in the end murder someome in the squad in a fit of rage. Probably Winks, since Winks likes to actually play football, and not hoofball. Ultimately, we will be the club that put Mourinho in prison for life for a crime against football and, obviously, murder. That will be the only light at the end of the tunnel this season. At least it's something to cling on to.

£60m isn't a warchest any more. It's more of a kids paper round piggy bank. This squad needs investment in most areas to freshen it up. I'd say the only area's we are covered are attacking Mid. I'd sign at least one player for every other position at least if funds were unlimited. Players that could be changed include:

Rose, Lloris (Or Gazza), Vertonghen, Aurier, KWP, Dier, Lucas and Eriksen. In addition we need back up for Kane until Parrot matures, a 1st choice DM and second choice DM if Dier goes. Too many individual positions to mention.
