Playground player. Has that knack of grabbing you a goal but spends far too much time on the peripheral of games when given a run.

If Jose persists with this lop sided system, maybe lucas role should be that attacking full back?

This was pochs plan too I beleive, there was talk pre season and with Foyth at rb. Perhaps he was going to do same but the other side with sess as the marauder.

Either way lucas was awful today.

He will never change, he will either do nothing or score a goal or two. He wil never put up 5 good and consistent performances in a row. Or even 3. Good player to have in a team though.

Really weird player. He has the actual ability and skillset to run at players and make life difficult for the LB's but he always seems to slow down, pass the ball back, stumble over his feet or fail to control the ball. I remember the game against Manu seeing Daniel James give Jan a torrid time and I was hoping Lucas would do the same for us against Luke Shaw but he didn't even try to be a threat at all.

Still really do not know what type of player he is he was just totally out of the game today as if he lost his ability

Was painful to watch second half. Didn’t know his role; made no runs; abandoned his defensive responsibilities. Troubling

Wonderful super sub option and a guy you want starting 20-25 games across all competitions but we could clearly upgrade the RW position. Despite complaints at the time about him not playing, I think Pochettino had him totally properly rated.

He'll probably get starts while Son serves his suspension, but his spot in team should really be swapped for someone who knows how to move between the lines to receive and play passes. Lo Celso or Lamela probably. Or Eriksen until he leaves.

He's a striker, who has to play out wide because he's not good enough to play through the middle. Which then leaves us with a wide player that is physically incapable of creating anything for his teammates.

Get rid. Times 10.

Another inconsistent footballer. Talent is there, we have seen it, but blows far too hot and cold and drifts out of games. Could attribute it to the lack of midfield at the moment but doesn't do enough often enough when he does have the ball. Could say the same for Sonny and some might.

We're lumbered with an awful lot of average.

Seems to be an instinctive player - does well when it's just head down and go. I think he has all the talent to do well but I'm not convinced.

He plays on the shoulder of defenders are we really expecting guys like Dier ,Sissoko and Surge to play the the balls he likes?

If we had Modric in midfield it would be a different story

He's another player who needs upgrading. He will never be good enough, he's a squad player. Problem is we have far too many squad players currently playing in the first 11 consistently.

Aurier / Dier / Sissoko / Moura all need upgrading badly.

I counted 6 players yesterday who shouldn't be starting at this level. Lucas, Dier, Sissoko, Aurier, Vertonghen & Gazzaniga
