Son isnt a striker certainly not against a big deep red bus.

he‘s at his best coming off the left running at players not back against a big CB holding the ball off as no space in behind, he did fine based on that.
Parrot is our next striker he should have played as far as I am concerned.

Still in the draw. Gio and Lamela to start from now on please. Energy, desire and genuine imagination.

Aurier played well.

Hate watching us, hate it. How the fuck did Dele stay on for 90 minutes again too, literally stands still with the ball every time he receives it. Zero urgency or awareness of what's around him.

Not watching this side play on Saturday, no chance. Piss take if we don't extensively add to this group of players.
He was definitely Dele Dalli today.

And I’ve had posters in the Kane thread telling me we don’t need another striker despite pointing that out. It’s crazy. We need another number 9.

I got a fucking shit load of abuse for even slightly criticising Son last month but look at this bullshit.

What the FUCK has he been doing for 2 weeks to perform like that? Fucks us for 3 games then has the audacity to perform that shitly. Absolutely fucking pathetic from him.
It's all good. You called it. That's the main thing. Have you spoken to Dibby recently? ;)

Why the fuck have we been starting games at a pedestrian pace for over a year now.

Surely it's mentality and getttng them up more for it...

Seriously beginning to piss me off.

Play with more intensity from the start. It's not rocket science.

Getting away with it for months on end.

A replay isn't necessarily a bad thing here as it gives Jose another chance to stumble on a system and/or personnel that works.

But let's be frank, this team needs major surgery.

Levy is going to wish he agreed a naming rights deal earlier because if this carries on the value is going to go down and down

So, how pathetically shit and disjointed were we this time? Any semblance of a team?

That wasn’t as appalling as some are making out - just lacking some cutting edge against a team that was well organised and got a lot of men behind the ball.
Yeah, I didn't think we were that horrific second half. Got a lot of good possession but lacked cutting edge. Middlesbrough defended well. Lo Celso and Lamela improved us a lot.

Yet I wouldn't be surprised if the players and Mourinho put in a performance just to show what we can do, then we'll lose the game after.

No chance, we'll concede early and give up, I predict a cricket score!

On a positive note (apologies Mods if that's not allowed in the matchday thread) Lo Celso and Lamela both did well when they came on. If Jose can stumble upon a team that has Ndombele, Lo Celso, Son, Kane and Lamela then I think we will start to see our performances improve. That and buy/play a DM!!!
