good news.
good news.
It is good news imo. The EPL has to stay in the hands of the English clubs not a few foreign owners.I'd wait to see what was agreed before deciding whether it was good or not. That plan was rubbished but it always was. But they have negotiated. We'll see. Maybe more of the overseas broadcast rights? Dunno.

Doesn't surprise me this is an old tactic. Throw in a whole bunch of outlandish proposals mixed in with the desired proposals. When the crap ones are weeded out, the ones truly aimed for would pass with full support from everyone without realizing the true long term impact.
These are from the FA rules below, both Manure and Bindippers have not adhered to these set out principles / regulatory framework, both their action, attitude and conduct towards their sly surreptitious "proposal" including the current plight/situation to lower league football due to COVID is selfish, conceited and narcissistic entitlement.
“A Participant shall at all times act in the best interests of the game and shall not act in any manner which is improper or brings the game into disrepute or use any one, or a combination of, violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting words or behaviour.”
" Detriment to the Game: the concepts of “disrepute” and “best interests of the game” are inherently broad and cannot be precisely defined. Charges may be brought where comments cause, and/or may cause, damage to the wider interests of football and/or to the image of the Game"They've brought the game, image and spirit of the game into disrepute, damaged it (image) and their actions have been improper/surreptitious.
I dont know what punishment/penalties that can be brought to them, but a hefty hefty £10M+ pus fine and deduction of points would be very befitting IMO, I concede the FA will not do that.
Every thread ChinaIm gonna get shit in the grammar thread in spurs chat arent i
Or stop spending money you havent fkin got. Obviously with no gate money its now too late for that. Its taking advantage of the current situation.they know it's a power grab but are going to cease to exist without it. the big clubs aren't just going to bail out the little ones from the goodness of their hearts. let's be real. The government will do nothing. So the current options are take this deal or cease to exist.
Listened to the Anfield Wrap podcast (first time for everything) on the subject. They didn't want anything to do with the idea, to be fair.

Ironically FFP was setup by the Italians to cement their standing as one of the big teams in Europe when City, Chelsea and etc. where going wild. Yet despite that Inter and AC struggled and their new owners couldn't pump money in lolSo Premier League is so popular because of its competitiveness. It got so competetive beacues TV revenue is shared between all clubs. It allowed all clubs to get rich and big 6 is already super rich. So rich that even in covid they can make transfers where Bayern, Real, Barca did nothing. What more do they want? In ten years we will only have games against those clubs and everybody will be sick of it.
