Safe trip to anyone travelling up. Hope the day is a good one.
Already here since Friday, coming from Freiburg, Germany. Unfortunately trip booked far in advance...

Last time i went to Anfield we beat them 2-0, hope thats a sign.

Any ideas about away pubs around Anfield...

Our backline trying to play through Liverpool's high press is terrifying tbh. If we nick a goal on the counter and they have an off day finishing then we might be able to nick a draw but if we go behind in the first half it will be more like the Newcastle score than the Man Utd one

Decisions, decisions.

Was at the local shop today and one of the lads down there asked me was I going to the local pub tomorrow afternoon - he like many many others is a Liverpool fan. I replied "Yeah I will be watching Spurs winning" - Shots fired !

Anyway the dilemma is - Do I wear a Spurs shirt while in the company of 30+ Liverpool fans and risk the
chance of getting pelters ? Or hope for the best ?

Anfield is probably the hardest ground to get points at so I'm not expecting much. I just want to see a better performance and some desire.

If we click going forward like second half on Thursday Liverpool can be got at. Especially Trent's side. Perisic had AWB on toast until he went off.

We just need luck defensively.

Potential for a high scoring game. Great for the neutrals, heart attack inducing for us.

Whats in our favour now is that the pressure is off, no one expects us to get a result so they can play with some freedom and go for it.

Our last 5 wins at Anfield in the league.
- 15 May 2011 0-2 (VDV, Modric Pen)
- 25 Aug 1993 1-2 (Sheringham x2, 1 pen)
- 11 October 1986 0-1 (Allen)
- 16 March 1985 0-1 (Crooks)
- 16 March 1912 1-2 (Newman, Mason)

In summary, we have never won at Anfield in PL history without getting a penalty and we have won four times at Anfield in the last 110 years. On the other hand, Liverpool have won four times away to Spurs in the last 5 years.

An absolute horror fixture.

With Forster in goal we won’t have too much of that fannying about the penalty area I hope, also known as “playing out from the back with disastrous results” when Lloris is playing. Liverpool would lap that up.

I was there in 1985 & 1986 .. In the middle of The Kop. They were joyous but quietly celebrated occasions.
I was there in 1973,81,82.,87,88 & 89. Not so good

Awful fixture. Seems like we also have some of the Spursy-est moments of all at Anfield:

  • Diaz late equaliser and Hojbjerg's last minute miss
  • Sissoko blazing over the bar at 1-1 then the last minute OG
  • Kane missing the late penalty with the score at 1-1 before Salah scored
  • Getting it back to 2-2 then Balotelli scoring his only ever PL goal for them in the last few minutes
  • Winning 2-1 then Robinson letting in a soft header at his near post in stoppage time
  • Jenas missing an open goal in the second half at 0-0, them going down straight down the other end and scoring
  • That Tim Sherwood game. No words needed.

And whatever the hell this was supposed to be:
