Decisions, decisions.

Was at the local shop today and one of the lads down there asked me was I going to the local pub tomorrow afternoon - he like many many others is a Liverpool fan. I replied "Yeah I will be watching Spurs winning" - Shots fired !

Anyway the dilemma is - Do I wear a Spurs shirt while in the company of 30+ Liverpool fans and risk the
chance of getting pelters ? Or hope for the best ?

This Liverpool team can be got at but lets be honest, a defence made of the likes of Lurch, Lenglet, Perisic and Porro up at Anfield is a recipe for disaster on paper. Dredd to think what Salah will do in that channel between Perisic and Lenglet. For that reason, would stick in Davies at LWB for this game. Not Davies's biggest fan but defensively he gives us more than Perisic.

Don't think we can go up to Anfield with 2 wingbacks who have massive question marks over their defending. Diaz is also back for them and him up against Porro is another headace although he has only just come back from long term injury.

Midfield, don't see much choice but to go with the oil tanker and Skipp. Further up the field, stick with Richarlison or Danjuma instead of Kulusevski. Liverpool defence will push up and Konate has good pace and ability on the recovery but think we need a pacey threat or two to give them something to think about. Maybe one of those games where Kane dropping into deeper positions.

Ehh... I don't think we'll get much change out of this game. But as long as we go and have a crack again, like against Man U, then that's all I can ask.

Depends on formation. If Tanganga and Davies come in as wing backs, it will make it harder for Liverpool to break us down. But we won’t do shit going forward either. Sadly, Mason won’t play Sarr. Which means PEH and Skippy will be completely overrun in midfield. Likewise, this is the sort of game where Son can have more impact as a sub. Would rather have Deki and Richy supporting Kane, as they work much harder.

If we are lucky, and somehow are level with them after 65 mins, then that is the time to throw Son in to run at tired legs, and get in behind the Pool defense as they push for a winner.

That said…

Hard not to see another tonking.
4-1 Liverpool.

I'm going to this, am sat in the posh hospitality seats with a Liverpool supporting mate. Heart says a point is very achievable with a long shot of nicking a narrow win, head says 3-1 or 4-1 defeat far, far more likely

Making a day of it with breakfast in Liverpool then a mini pub crawl before the game. I have zero expectations I'm afraid and just treating it as a day out with my mate and not going to let a defeat bother me, anything better than that is a bonus

I quite like the look of the space Trent vacates in his new role which we know Son can exploit, but when I think of them exploiting our weaknesses there are just too many to contemplate.

I'd go 3-5-2, with Skipp and Sarr deeper and PEH further forward, sitting on whoever play makes for them, Thiago, Jones etc

For those who like money :D

5/2 a goal scored between 0.00 - 9.59 minutes
7/2 a goal scored between 10 - 19.59 minutes

For those who like spunking money my usual bets are:

Harry Kane to score a header 11/1
Harry Kane to score from outside the area 14/1
Harry Kane to do both 125/1
Son to score from outside the area 20/1

We need to at least start with 3 in midfield and try to get a foothold in the game. Utd took the piss with one of Casemiero, Eriksen or Fernandez free at all times. We need to try to cut off the supply to their front line and also give cover out wide with their reliance on wingbacks. Can't do that with a pivot. It's going to be a pivot isn't it!

Drove past the team bus on the motorway yesterday on the way to Lake District, contemplated pulling across 2 lanes just to stop the team bus getting to anfield and avoid us all the embarrassment of a heavy loss.

I've no idea why but I think we are going to beat them. They are so so vulnerable at the back and scraped a 3-2 over Forest. Think we will nick it with Sonny getting a couple and richarlison getting his 1st!
I have to say I agree with you, I have no idea why you'd think that either. 😉

Wear it under an Ireland shirt that you can take off at the appropriate moment. 😊

You went big and you went early which is to be commendable but possibly a little foolish 🙂

At this stage it's best to follow through in jersey, yea likely we'll lose but you're going to get stick anyway so might as well stay big and wear it
