Mourinho has siad in a press conference that Benzema has less league goals than Sergio ramos and cavallho. He might be trying to get more out of him but to me that spells the end of benzema in Madrid.
Do we have forwards who have less league goals than defenders ?

I think we have atleast 3

On the pre-game chat before the Man city-vila match, our main Canadian football station said today that Man United have signed Benzema. Sounded pretty official, though I can't see it on Sky.

I really don't think the Ade signing will make a difference, Jose wants at least two strikers, he's finally got his way on that score after a battle of wills with Valdano so he's not going to turn around and sell Benzema because he'll be back at sqaure one.

Maybe but im not sure he wants Benzema in the slightest. In a game recently he chose to have no strikers at all for most of the game rather than play Benzema. Think that says it all.

Jose has stated several times he like to have 3 quality strikers at the club. Now with Ade he's only got 2 (so far) out the season, there is no way he'll let Benzema go. He's not stupid, not guarding himself against an eventual Ade injury.
However, it may mean Real aren't after Llorente - a player I'd rather have than Benzema (depeding on the price of course).

Hutton (2) is outscoring Crouch (1), Defoe (0) and Keane (0).

Bassong (1), Kaboul (1) and Skrtel (1) are also outscoring Defoe (0) and Keane (0).
Bloody 'ell. We have played 23 games so far, haven't we. This is truly abysmal and actually a miracle that we are as high as we are in the league. Surely he, or any other striker for that matter, can't do worse.

You can't do worse than 0 :hump:
Unless of course "that" strike starts scoring own goals...

If the latest ITK is true....well, I'll be ready to eat my word then  In which case Jose must have yet another CF lined up. van Nistelroy or Pav maybe...

I think the wages are the biggest issue here too. He makes almost double our big earners. I don't know how we might structure a deal. The issue isn't that we could afford the wage within our %/revenue structure. But if he gets 120, then we need that much to ensure we hold onto VDV, Bale and Modric and then things get Leeds wacky.

On the provision this happens, and as much as I would like Benzema to join, I'm somewhat suspicious of the relationship Madrid & Spurs have with the way they're conducting business; first VDV (for only 8m), now possibly Benzema.

Are Madrid not just trying to sweeten Spurs so they eventually sell them Bale & Modric?!?!

Oh, of course they are. We'll just have to hope that Levy can out-maneuver them. However, I don't think we have the right to hold Bale or Modric back from Barca or Real. What footballer would ever want to pass on that honor.

Indeed, they'll both be leaving within the next 4 years max, better to them. if Levy keeps this up we'll get some fantastic players in from Real.

Wouldn't surprise me if Madrid tried to stick some first option on Bale and/or Modric into the deal.
