I see what you have tried to do here but the comparisons are embarrassing !
Yeah I mean Zanetti being compared to Davies - that's an insult to Ben.

Some perhaps, but the majority would wish we missed out? Really? But he must know that the majority of fans will be underwhelmed to the point of wishing we had missed out altogether. So the dance wasn't for our benefit.

Or the Tony Pauli’s thread.
Bunch of ****s...
He also played this similar system in chelsea 2013-14 ... Also ndombele can be a very good attacking box to box midfielder and sissoko/brozovic can be defensive box to box midfielder
We all will once we win the Premier League
Tucker, coy, and everyone else who's still spamming me. I promise you, this will work out. He's gonna change the mentality of this side. They're gonna win medals under him. We all loved Poch, but it's time to move on: he's going to take us to the next level. Can't wait for the Amazon doc!
It seemed appropriate to award this post a "winner" rating, so I did.For what it's worth, I completely agree with the mentality thing. And it's why I'm against the grain (shock) with the celebration at the end of the Palace game. I loved it. He's trying to get across to the players what achieving something is, he's looking at it like we were miles off when he took over, and we still had to do something in the last game to "achieve" it. Fuck it, the achievement might not be one we'd all rank highly, but you wait until we see him take his shirt off and swing it round his head when we win the Carabao Cup. Because rest assured, it will happen, he will knee slide along the touchline, probably cry, and tell everyone it is his best ever achievement. Because that's what he's about. Winning.
Spurs fans: FFS Spurs, win some trophies! Some perhaps, but the majority would wish we missed out? Really?
Mate, I've been on here for 15 years and have spouted all kinds of bollocks in that time. Trust me, just let it go and in a couple of days the thread will be on new pages and nobody will even remember what you've posted. It's only really outrageous posts like a certain poster proclaiming Kane will be "Championship at best" that get remembered.
I can't get the image of JM leaping about celebrating a back door europa qualification out of my head.
What did it mean?
OK there will be fans genuinely delighted, as they'll have a chance to travel to obscure parts of outer europe by camel, and will have a great adventure. Good for them.
But he must know that the majority of fans will be underwhelmed to the point of wishing we had missed out altogether. So the dance wasn't for our benefit.
It wouldn't have been for Levy's benefit as Levy knows we have a squad on champ league salaries and his priority will be to get us back into the top 4 and start paying back the loans. He is not going to be that excited about europa.
Is it that JM sees a squad that have won nothing in their collective lives and over praising/celebrating minor achievements is how you change the mind set? Fake it 'til you make it? If this really works, why do arsenal never build on their string of FA cup wins?
I think you were in a great minority leaping around your living room after that draw. Some perhaps, but the majority would wish we missed out? Really?
For me - it's all about building team spirit. This issue has been way over analysed IMO.I can't get the image of JM leaping about celebrating a back door europa qualification out of my head.

I think our chance of winning anything next season incl finishing top 4 has been significantly reduced now.Spurs fans: FFS Spurs, win some trophies!
Also Spurs fans: FFS Spurs, stop getting yourselves extra opportunities to win trophies!
*May not be the same fans at the same time, but sometimes is.
Or maybe he thinks it will be easier to win it than get top 4 next season. Perhaps he has something in his contract regarding qualifying for CL and feels this could be a second crack at it should we fail to reach top 4.I think you were in a great minority leaping around your living room after that draw.
The nicest interpretation is that he trying to change the players' mentality. It seems a bit strange but no-one can argue with his record, so lets see what happens.
Absolutely. The criticism Jose gets at times is unbelievable. Being a European team has always been crucial to Tottenham, and he salvaged that status despite some very tough circumstances - and that's before you even mention how tough the lockdown and restart must have been. It's about building a mentality but some people would rather we were permanently miserable.Spurs fans: FFS Spurs, win some trophies!

José's paid the big bucks to work it all out. I'd be interested to know how many players he used from the ropey United squad he guided to second in the league and EL success a couple of seasons back.I think our chance of winning anything next season incl finishing top 4 has been significantly reduced now.
Things are not always straightforward.
I wouldn't be as concerned if our manager was happy to use these type of games to develop the younger players - I enjoyed europa under Jol on channel 5. It is a fantastic opportunity for them, and the youth have missed these chances with us being in the champs league. But this manager, like AVB, will play most of our first team.
Pizza box to pizza box.Lol.
I have no idea what's going on in this thread. It feels like a drunk with bipolar has been posting.
Yeh this basically.I think the Spanish is a soft J as in hose and Portuguese is a hard J as in job. So he’s José
