There must be a twist that we’re not privy to - levy will give cash? Or, Mourinho is keen to prove his haters wrong by adapting our squad with one or two improvements and bringing through youngsters; much against his previous tactics, but inline with his ‘two fingers up to the world’ approach. Currently I’m far from a fan of his and have enjoyed his demise at Chelsea and mancs; however, he’s with us now and I will have to learn to like him as a part of the club. It’s interesting how many can hate on levy and love spurs, but a hate of the manager and a love of spurs is a bigger hurdle to overcome. Kinda looking forward to the refreshI'm partially excited because I do think a change was needed, and as much as we should all love Poch for everything he achieved, it was clear something wasn't going right and it didn't look like he was capable of turning it around.
However we've appointed a manager who, whilst undeniably successful in past jobs, has achieved that success largely through spending an inordinate amount of money.
As a club we do not have a history of spending an inordinate amount of money.
For me these two things don't go hand in hand and that's what worries me greatly.
If Mourinho continues his normal approach, and Levy continues his, then I cannot see any situation where this is a success. But I suppose we'll have a better understanding of that come the end of January.
