Several comments by Jose about spurs not being respected and Man unt getting an unusual amount of penalties etc .
I think these comments were made with the intention of making sure the refs were not anti spurs .
Jose is such a clever fella he played the officials like a fiddle if they had given any dubious decision against us he could say "what did I tell you about bias " I am so on board with this manager I can't explain and he is a man I did not want and in fact I was annoyed he was hired I am now so happy he's here explain that if you can .
I've been waiting decades for a Spurs manager to speak up and show some balls instead of bending over and taking it.
About time imo.

And started all of three league matches in the invincible season. Cole, Lauren, Toure, Judas, that was the back four.

Then please get it back on track with something Mourinho related which you think will stimulate a decent conversation ?

Once again highlights how fortunate teams that dominate a league season often are to have a relatively quiet physio table. Desperately hope we have more luck on that front this year. ?

I believe we'd have won the league if Balotelli hadn't inexplicably got away with stamping on/kicking Parker's head.

Better ball from Bale we would have won it. Been 2 points off top and wouldn't have got nelson and Saha instead we were 8 points behind and decided not to strengthen as we were miles ahead of 4th at the time.

Exactly, look at United, who struggled for a long time until Ferguson arrived and were even relegated at one point. Without checking, i'm pretty sure Liverpool were in the old second division when Shankly arrived but since then, they've been a top club, the similarities are there.

I would guess that those two clubs have won somewhere approaching 100 major trophies between them. We consider ourselves to be a top club, I bet we haven't won half of what either of those clubs have won.

If those two aren't top clubs then there aren't any in this country.

I remember getting lambasted (I like that word) a few years ago on here when I said united Vs Liverpool is by far the biggest rivalry in English football.

Fan base, history, fame, trophies etc they are by far the biggest teams in England. There is no one even close to them.

Saw a very interesting video created by a tactical expert on LinkedIn regarding our defensive tactics.

It seems that Jose is really focusing on ensuring we have a numerical advantage over the opposition in certain areas when in defensive transition. I noticed that on occasions it looks like the opposition have a lot of space around the box but this is countered by us having 2 or 3 defenders around one opposing player meaning that whilst they are in a potentially dangerous area we are still in control of the situation.

It also means should we win the ball in these situations we have good numbers to make a quick transition forward.

Is that from an article or post, can you post it if so?

Fact is mourinho is actually really likeable now we got to see him on all or nothing. He’s just genuine, real and plays upto the camera only, but in private you can see the players simply idolise him and want to do everything to please him. With everyone pushing in the same direction of Mourinhos philosophy I can see us going on to win a lot of trophies! He looks happy and is also happy with the structure of the club I really hope this can go on for the next 15 or so years before he retires.

Injuries on aggregated level has nothing to do with luck and fortune. Each singular isolated injury can be about good or bad luck, but on an aggregated level it is not.

Once I was foolish enough to believe that could happen with us and Poch. Well, guess I really don't learn from my mistakes since here I am totally agreeing with you.

It’s extremely tough for a manager to last over 5 years in one job now, not to mention 15. It’s just too demanding, too draining.

I’m not inclined to defend Wenger but he did achieve the only ever unbeaten PL season and that was without any of the Graham back four (presumably being Winterburn, Bould, Adams and Dixon)

Maybe start a thread with - 'Hard on for Wenger' and take it there!

It depends on what the role is, if he sets the foundation and sets wheel and process in motion then its not potentially as demanding as his vision is embedded

That’s just not his style. He demands the maximum from himself and the people at the club he’s at and it’s draining. There’s a reason why all his jobs have been short and successful.

Yeah, but this time it's different. This is not like Chelsea, Madrid or Inter who saw an outstanding coach and went with all their force to get him, this time around he was the one who may have approached the club. You may have seen how highly he was speaking of us during his job as a football commentator, or how he was spotted watching us play from the stands.

He and his family are settled in London, and the club is in an upward trajectory (unlike his past three clubs, who kinda were already at the top of the world in terms of growth). Maybe I'm just deluding myself, but it totally feels like Mourinho is looking at us like a long term job.
