Doesn’t sound like Campos will be joining us to help Mourinho out any time soon. Disappointing.

Some saying disparaging things about Martin Jol I am sorry but I can't have that he was responsible for three fantastic years that saw us come from a bottom half team to a team challenging for Europe and a couple of years for the champions league .
For me this man laid the foundations for the improvement in the Poch years .
I think it was His team that won our last trophy although it was the man who took over from him that got the credit .
Please do not disrespect M Jol within my hearing .
I wish I could hug you RN.

True he did. But that was because they were concerned about relegation.

Will Levy be that keen to spend to get back into the top 4 if we fail this season
If he isn't then he and uncle Joe need to sell the club and Foxtrot Oscar.

Things can change very quickly in football... let’s see how this pans out

I wonder if Levy will be willing to spend if we DONT make top 4 cause let's face it at this rate we may not even finish top 6.

Yet, he'll be in a situation in which the only way to get back into CL will be how Jose did it at United or by spending massively. Or will he consider that too much of a risk?
Sadly I think we all know the answer to that one... ?

How many signings has there been by any PL club so far? These things take time.

I know they're the exemplary case, but Liverpool have signed Minamino, a promising youth striker from League One, and managed to loan out Brewster to Swansea - and they didn't even need to do anything urgently.

We're in urgent need of players, and not even a whiff of anything close. I know it takes time but if we were anywhere near as well run as we should be then we would have had a bunch of irons in the fire before January even started.

See, you're making the mistake of thinking your own opinions must be shared by the club.

Not sure how recent were those quotes, but in truth both were very PR talk to distant themselves from the media eyes. 50/50 IMO. These guys are too experience to know how to get things done if needed.

Mourinho is everything opposite to what the club had done over the last 6 years, I.e trying to develop players.

This just isn't Jose and if anyone thinks Parrott, Skipp even Winks are going to improve under him they're seriously deluded. Jose doesn't develop players at the best of times let alone youngsters. This new Jose I'm giving youngsters a chance, it just ain't gonna happen. Couple of bad performances and you won't see them in first team again probably

Even when Mourinho was a great manager some years back, it was because of how he organised players and got them believing in his structured and pragmatic way of doing things would bring trophies. And it did, the big ones too. But he brought in ready-made players most of the time that's the difference.

Now though, this thing about him being a winner is a nonsense the only thing he'll win is an FA Cup or carabao Cup. Trophies that are becoming more meaningless with every year that passes (just look at the team Liverpool put out the other night: something that's becoming common place) , other than fact you can say you've won a trophy.

He wasn't brought in anyway because we want to win the league or FA Cup, enic don't care about trophies, if you believe that you'll believe anything. He's brought in because we need to be in the top 4 because the club needs the money from being in the Champions League especially with new stadium to pay for. If he doesn't achieve that at the most he should be given one more season.

In opposite to Poch he will let them go on loan or play u18/u23 so I'm ok with that, if they won't be used at first team. Maybe we will use them, maybe we sell them. I also think that this season and CL + PL he gave more minutes for Skipp + Troy than Poch.

And sure he is here to make top4, because it's the most exclusive league with good money, everyone would want that.

There is a myth that Poch made young players better he did not what he did do is pick some younger players when the first team squad had a lot of injuries. He was in fact forced to pick younger players but when his main players were fit the youngsters were returned to the U23s.
In fact Winks is the only youngster that has broken thru this is hardly a trend .
I hear myself say " he picked some young players " when in fact it was Winks and Walker Peters other than them two I am struggling for names of youngsters given a chance . Walker Peters has in fact proved for me to not be of the quality that a club like ours needs.
Having said all that I think that Parrot / Tanganga / Skipp / may prove to be of better quality we won't know until given a chance and the only chance they have to play is if we do not sign players this window this is a kind of catch 22 situation as on one hand you want young players given a chance on the other hand if there is a remote chance of making the top four you must take it.
