I saw that @Trix mentioned Winks as well as Dele as first out the door, due to attitude. Have I missed something? What’s Harry Winks done?

Other than Kane and Son, who is good enough based on last 2 yrs? Players shouldn’t be judged on Jose’s tenure. He has driven the confidence out of almost all the team.

Nope. If the players get praise for the period before they should also face criticism now. Its only fair.

Why doesn't Jose just banish the problematic players to the U23 squad? This way he makes the correct statement and the rest of the players can focus on the run in. No point in keeping these players in the squad and letting them spread negativity.

What's your guys thoughts on this?

Because if he did that we’d be left with just Lloris and Kane.

I don't believe that, there has to be a spine to this negativity, 2 or 3 players that are leading this unwanted drama. Kick the leaders out and the rest will fall in line rather fast.

Hmm for a team that have an almost bare cabinet... it does puzzle me reading the 1st sentence..

I care. No matter whoever is managing us and under what circumstances. I care about a cup final.

So, basically the board have decided he must go at the end of the season, regardless of results. Which, to be honest, it's hard to see us finishing top 4 or winning the LC given the way we have been playing for the last four months. So, not all that surprising.

But if that is known by the players, it's kinda hard to see how they will be motivated for the remainder of the season if Jose is still in charge. As they know he will be taking a hike. And at least a third of them are likely off in the summer.

Weird sort of no-mans land/purgatory.

Given that information, I can't really see us finishing any higher than 8th.

Only chance something might change that trajectory is if they let him go now, and whether it is Ledley or Sacramento or one of the youth team coaches the group until the end of the season, and maybe that gives them some oomph.

What a mess, though.

Funnily enough, what kinda annoys me the most, is that odious scrote, Oliver Holt was right. He wrote an article, barely a day into Jose's reign, declaring that it was a mistake and would end horribly. Hate that it turns out he was kinda correct. 'Cos he is a first class nob-head.

Have I missed something? Did we get ITK saying the board have decided to sack him at the end of the season? Big mistake if so.

Sorry if I've misunderstood your post

Not caring about poor performances when you get a good result is fine, but in the context of a league season, consistent poor performances are less likely to yield good results, so expressing concern despite having won a game is also valid.

Is this really true? Of our competitors I can only think of Chelsea who fit into the category of new manager struggling during the pandemic etc. Liverpool and Man U don’t fit into that category. Arsenal maybe do? Who else? Everton maybe? But they finished 12th last year and are now basically matching us. They have improved this season.
You see these clubs have barely made any signings until the summer before the pandemic

Since January 2020
Man City - Signed one starter(Dias) and two backups
Man Utd - Signed one starter(Fernandes) and 5 backups(of which 3 haven't played)
Leicester - Signed two starters(Castagne and Fofana) and two backups
West Ham - Signed Three starters(they signed Soucek in jan 2020, Coufal in summer, Lingaard in January) and three backups(Bowen, Dawson and Benrahma)

Then look at Outside the top 4
Chelsea - Signed 4 Starters in one window due to ban (Mendy, Werner, Chilwell & Havertz) Arguably 6 with Ziyech and Silva whose been injured and suspended
Tottenham - Signed 5 starters (Bergwijn, replaced by Bale, Doherty, Reguillon, Hojberg) & 3 Backups (Vinny, Rodon(now arguably a starter), Gedson)
Liverpool - 3 starters(Jota(over Firmino?), Kabak(due to injuries) & Thiago) & 3 Backups(Kostas, Minamino & Davies)
Everton - 4 Starters (Allan, Rodriguez, Doucoure, Godrey) & 2 Backups (Nkounkou & King)
Arsenal - 4 Starters (Partey, Gabriel, Willian, Odegaard & 2 Backups (Mari, Soares)

Hardly surprising the teams that had the least changes to their playing squads and match day squads are occupying the top 4,

Liverpool haven't had many changes but they instead had like 3 youth players promoted in the CB crisis due to Van Dijk, they are changing their back 4 every week.

We have been in a pandemic and that the crazy schedule of the season hasn't helped new players settle that came the summer before like N'Dombele and Lo Celso who didn't feature in the first 6 months due to injury or fitness issues

If Mourinho didn't change the team week in week out, we may have been in a better position but he I don't think he got to assess the squad.

Im not a Mourinho fan btw, but the reason why I would want him to stay is because we brought him in to change our culture and if that was going to be easy, it would have happened under the previous managers. Corona made it more difficult but I rather him see the project till the end than start a fresh with someone new

I wonder if the poll was reopened how many would have selected the choice that only 18% picked

the trouble with Jose once he is in the door and a contract he doesn't give 2 shits about digging players out and making enemies. if he can win a trophy it's another to his collection, if he fucks up he picks up another fat cheque for doing nothing.

I would have voted for both horrified, will give him a chance, but praying for the day he fucks off lol.

This has been a tactic has been used by Ramos, Redknapp and AVB

Yeah exactly. I worry about a final with Jose if he's lost the players and a final with a caretaker coach from internally.

Think City would walk it in both scenarios
