I fully expect Jose to have spent the last 3 days on defensive shape and positioning, especially during inside team meetings / presentations. Things like Rose letting an opponent run across him on the near post at a corner won’t be happening again anytime soon. A lot of the goals we concede are due to lapses of concentration or basic mistakes. Jose will have realised we are good for a couple of goals against anyone given our front line. Keep clean sheets and we will rocket up the table.

Credit to the man
results are no coincidence.
But that's not the real Jose
possibly his brother.

If he can keep this charm offensive up
I will revise my assessment.
But after 2 weeks
and 2 games
its a bit early to celebrate.

Perhaps time out
and the Chelsea/ Man U. experience
have mellowed him.

Good to see

Thankfully most on this site are supportive of, and excited by, Mourinho’s appointment. Yes, there is an overriding sentiment of worry at the risk element of the appointment, myself included (and I’ve disliked the guy for most of the past 15 years), but it seems that most realise what he could potentially bring. Even the most mistrusting of posters seem to realise that Enic has taken the move of acting unsentimentally, decisively and ambitiously over the past fortnight.

I understand that there are a few posters who dislike Mourinho so immensely that this appointment displeases them, and additionally feel Pochettino deserved better treatment or more time. I wholeheartedly disagree with both these opinions but there is a valid basis for both. My worry, and I hope I am inferring incorrectly, is that amongst those people exists an selection of ‘supporters’ so entrenched in these views that they’ll have their knives constantly sharp and ready so that when there is an inevitable blip which fits the stereotype of Mourinho (overly aggressive reaction to adversity or a particularly defensive line up against a better side) this site will become flooded with vitriol. I sincerely hope I’m wrong; I like to think any supporter of our club is only concerned with success and feels hurt by any failure, not vindication, but given that recently there was a selection of people actively wanting us to lose so Pochettino could be sacked, I feel like my worry is not misplaced.

I’m not sure why I’m typing this, maybe the codeine has elevated how far up my arse my head has reached, but I just want to ask that those of you who don’t want Mourinho at our club at the very least give him the benefit of the doubt and back him until there is tangible reason not to, because all any of us want is a successful Spurs and the best chance of that is if the current manager in place, whoever that is, manages to engineer that success.

leGin starting his transfer window preseason today with a well drilled, sensibly managed post. Square pegs in square hole, and all that

Seems to be a South Korean bloke. Lots of videos of Son, with titles using those funky Korean letters.

What the fuck’s he up to?

This is Jesus Mourinho, old Father Jose Christmas, Buddha and Mandela rolled up into a single saintly quiver
Somewhere as we speak the greatest heist we'll never know about is being pulled. It involves a charismatic football manager front man, a handsome sidekick who is always eating something and a Chinese acrobat.
