BT Sports' Early Kick-Off show is proving fun this morning(!)

Hosted by Robbie Savage (knob, doesn't like Spurs) with a guest panel of Tony Adams (knob, supports Arsenal), Steve Sidwell (knob, supports Arsenal) and Chris Sutton (knob, doesn't like Spurs), they just spent 20 minutes discussing how wrong we were to fire Pochettino and how much of a disaster the Mourinho appointment will be. Quelle fucking surprise.

I turned off as soon as that prick Adams started saying how much he was enjoying us being in turmoil. Wanker.

Do I want Mourinho to succeed?

As we're in the Election run-up
I'll ignore that question and answer a different one.

Do I want Spurs to succeed?
Yes very much so.

Have we been successful over the past 5 years?
Yes very much so.
If it continues will you mind if Mourinho gets the credit?
Yes very much so.

I doubt that he will top Pochettino's record.
He'll have to win the CL to do that.

Would you like Spurs to win a trophy?
Yes very much so
but not at the expense of all that I hold dear
as a long-time Spurs supporter.

Dreading the Mourinho reign and all that it usually implies.

Sorry.

Fair that you are sceptic, and I truly understand your concern. I am quietly confident that this will be excellent and have en inkling that the doubters and sceptics will be come around.

I may be wrong - it may end in turmoil - and time will tell but for now I am looking forward to seeing what he can do with what is a great squad and a club in a great place largely du to Pochettino and Levy jointly. If we take the next step up Mourinho will rightly get plaudits but I for one will never forget Poch’s work in building the platform from which it will happen.

Why CL? If he wins any trophy he'd had topped Poch's record.

I'm complete opposite, I just can't get excited about Mourinho's brand of football.. I'm dreading watching us turned into diving cheating thugs playing outdated football.. a club with no Identity
I assume you've not spent much time learning what rival fans thought about Spurs under Pochettino because those exact words were used often.

Kane, Son, Dele and Rose have a reputation for diving. Rose, Vertonghen, Dier, Wanyama, Dembele, Dele and Lamela were known for being dirty thugs.

But it was that fight and feistiness that made us so difficult to play against at our peak. And the lack of fight and feistiness that made us struggle over the last 18 months.

Because we were beaten finalists in the CL.
Not all trophies are the same
or of equal worth.
But have it your way
if you are that desperate.

I'm not even sure he will get us into the top four
consistently before he leaves.

No one remembers losers mate.

If he wins the FA Cup this year he would've done something Poch couldn't do and got us over the line, nothing desperate about that they're just facts.

Indeed there's an entire thread on Redcafe talking about us being thugs when we played Man Utd in preseason :D

"I don’t want my players to fear anything. We go for everything against everybody and we can win."

Love this quote.
Am also enjoying the almost constant stream of news (articles) all about our Spurs.
