Well, his part was always going to be less due to a sell-on clause that he had in his Porto contract.
I'm guessing Porto would keep the fee as low as they could without it being obviously lowballing to avoid the sell-on and risking getting sued!

At least we can forget a summer of him being spooted at various hotels, airports, training grounds, houses or KFCs.
Lets hope Leandro signs for them as well in the next couple of days

Mostly about the money I'm sure, but to be fair living in Monte Carlo, making a fortune and paying no taxes, and playing football sounds like a pretty good life.

Both gone to the French version of QPR, goes to show it really is all about the money

QPR haven't won the Premiership 7 times and contested a CL final, comparison is broken.

So you cant compaire teams unless they have won the same amount of titles?! so you will just about never be able to do this.

IT would be like saying you cant compaire players unless they have exactly the same stats! POINTLESS!

The implication that Monaco are just some nothing team is what I'm disagreeing with, they most certainly aren't the French QPR. If you want to see a French QPR then look no further than the top of Ligue 1.

Monaco have a history, QPR do not. I think it's a fair point about the comparison, not really an accurate one.

I know they've had some troubles of late - but to compare them to QPR is a little off imo.

French version of Man Shitty would be more accurate. Spending more money than the total worth of an african country on new players and putting them on wages that would feed an entire village each week effectivly destroying football.

I though PSG had coined that one, or are they the Chelsea?

It's a bit of a 'nothing' league though. French clubs have won a total of TWO European trophies ever (and one of those was the somewhat questionable Marseille CL win in 1993).

To put that in context, Portuguese clubs have won 8 European trophies, Belgians have won 7, Scottish sides have won 4.

France's 2 puts them on a par with Sweden, Romania, Turkey and Yugoslavia!

Maybe but PSG and Monaco will be there or thereabouts in the next few years because of the backing. Got to feel for the likes of St Etienne, Marseille and Lyon, proper football clubs with fans and history who won't have a sniff now.
