Certain people suggesting we should watch Moutinho's reaction after the game. Goodbye to the fans being the suggestion.

Why would a player who is the subject of a multi million pound transfer be risked playing in a game?

Just played a beautiful chopped backheel into the box for Varela but Varela tripped on a blade of grass or he would have probably been in on goal for a shot or a lay-off assist.

I know, unless they are ridiculously sentimental in Portugal and he had to say goodbye.

Anyway, the first ten minutes of this match have reminded me of what i'd forgotten after not seeing Moutinho for a while - he oozes so much class.

Commentators talking about Moutinho's links to us now. Just saying he has a 30m euro buy out clause.

Porto are their own worst enemies. Constantly wasting good opportunities by making things harder on themselves. Moutinho looks great, though. Already showing some passing ability that would look foreign on our current squad.

Moutinho with the assist off the cross. +1 million

And on cue: Jackson Martinez with the goal. Huge elevation.

Haha! Moutinho fantastic delivery from a corner onto Jackson Martinez's swede and it's 1-0.

Better corner than I have seen from any of our players for several seasons! Whipped in dropping centre of the six yard box.

I'd happily take their scouts so we can get the striker they would get to replace Jackson Martinez when they sell him for 40M this summer.

screw buying the players they develop for extortionate amounts, lets just buy their scouts

they always have a constant supply of cheap, quality, young players... how the hell do they do it?

Ask AVB. He had a good hand in bringing Moutinho and James Rodriguez to Porto when he first got there.

Most of the players they buy would require work permits (which most wouldn't get) to move to England. It's only after they've spent a certain amount of time in Europe or broke into their International teams that we would be able to bring them here.
