Soldado
Lamela
Holtby

Add Eriksen to that front 4 and you have a very loveable front four.

Shame they're not allowed to play for Spurs for some reason :(

Nope, i'd struggle to chose a name for the back of my shirt these days, Prob get Ruel Fox for the hell of it. Shall we start a Ruel Fox cult?

Oh boy did I love Rafa.

Anyway, he went back to his ex (and I'm not at all extremely happy that it's crashing and burning for them :playful:) and I've moved on too.

I remember when I said at the start of the season that our four up front should eventually look like this:

----------------Soldado-------------------
-Chadli-------Eriksen/Holtby--------Lamela-

Too bad we haven't even lined up like this once. Or maybe we did once under AVB. I can't remember anymore.

I'm not really one to get too attached to individual players, makes things easier when we sell them etc.

However I think I am at the stage where I feel I actively dislike a large number of our squad. Not good.

Some have bit of character, some have bit of skill. But generally hard to feel love in the transfer merry-go-round, it's just another bunch of new players, here today, gone tomorrow. Shame those who've been on board bit longer are having bad seasons even on their standards or been injured for best part of the season (like Younes so often is). Or completely sidelined (Gomes, likeable character with +130 for us in all competitions. I know he has been replaced by more reliable keepers, still seems a likeable character)

The squad has the making of a lot more than it has this season, its the least I've enjoyed watching Spurs games for many-a-year. trouble is the squad of players haven't formed a team and the individuals that would make that up do haven't sparkled in the way some of the recent examples.

Too many changes and minimal impact from anyone this years leaves me with a slightly detached feeling when it comes to our players.

Any footballer that nearly misses the start of the second half at OT because they were busy doing a poo deserves a cult following.

You do realise he was playing behind Adebayor today with Eriksen on the left ?

Some times I really wonder what games people on here watch....,
Chadli was named on the left, and considering Eriksen spent almost no time there, it's natural to assume he was meant to be stationed there. Chadli got into Eriksen's space today.

I love Brad Friedel, never a moan about not playing & when he does get's the job done, so much to admire how he keeps himself fit at his age.
love Sandro, he'd fight with a granny over a parking space.
I'vr loved Walker for a lot of this season especially in first trouncing against City & Liverpool game, him & Sandro were the only ones who didn't throw in the towel,, the rest did & showed no heart or fight in them. I do think against Benfica his head was gone, even fooked up a throw in.. Tim's outburst must of got to him, I wonder if his agent has been in his ear. H e was;nt his usual committed self irrespective what mistakes he makes from time to time, usually he can't be faulted for commitment

Except Dawson, though have cooled on him recently, I agree.

Fair point. I love Dawson's passion for the club. It's just unfortunate that he lacks the ability we need to reach the next level. It makes me think that I've been hoodwinked into equating success with caring. Deep down I know I'd rather have a team of players that care about Spurs as much as Dawson (even if they're not great players), than a bunch of indifferent players that are merely using us as a potential stepping stone for more success/money.

Dawsons passion for the club might be exactly what we need for the next year or so, because we ain't reaching no next level anytime soon.

I see where you're coming from, but at the same time I still appreciate where the club is compared to the dark ages of 1992-2004.Still, it's like I'm putting my love on hold until the summer before resuming. I'm, to use the Friends term, on a break.

What happens the rest of this season just doesn't seem to mean much to me, except that I want us to finish above United for the first time in my memory just so I can say that we've done it.

I think the main reason for the mass disillusion is that we've spent the last four years since the summer of 2010 squandering a fantastic opportunity, once through the Chelsea CL debacle, but three times through our own fuckuppery. I get it, I really do. Part of that fuckuppery is obviously the turnover of players and the sense that, bar Eriksen and possibly Lamela if he gets "fit" again, we don't have the exciting attacking players we used to and we are so often painfully boring to watch.

Still, once this season's over and we hopefully get a sense of where the club's going over the summer, I'm sure I'll love again.

Every season was fucked up by us including Chelsea winning CL we were 13 points clear in third and should of nailed it since then we have hit reverse all of it is our fault period.
