Yes and everytime Darren Bent scores we ask why sold him and still have Keane and everytime Taarabt does a stepover and Lennon has a poor game we ask why we sold the next Zidane but kept the next Ruel Fox and everytime Palacios misplaces a pass we wonder why we ever sold Zokora.

It's SC and this is what we do.

I'd rather we handled Bent better when he was here than buy Huntelaar. Bent is a far better player than he showed during his time at Tottenham and even so he still scored a fair few goals during his short stay but it's all water under the bridge now. Dzeko and Stevie boy McClaren haven't started very well at all in die bundesliga well Dzeko has but results have been crap. We need to put in a stupid big bid for this kid and we'd be flying.

Whatever we bid, we'll be outbid by City

And Juve are after him in a big way as well

I don't know if Huntelaar is the second coming or a donkey. But I wouldn't judge him by two games in Gelsenkirchen, because
A) he just joined.
B) Raul, who actually is good and was wanted by many here, has looked as bad if not worse than KJH and
C) the reason both look bad is because they have stripped their midfield of service. They are playing 4 forwards in Rakatic, Farfan, Raul and Huntelaar and the remaining midfielders are Jermain Jones, who is a poor man's Jenas (and by poor man's I'm comparing Rockefeller to a character from the Grapes of Wrath) and some schlep that's not good enough for the Zweite. It's a shit system and it's made me question Magath, which was impossible only a few months ago.

What is going on there? I watched their game against Hamburg and thought they were pretty fortunate not to get a real mullering. It's been an altogether strange start to the season, though; I doubt anyone expected the bottom three places to be occupied by Schalke, Stuttgart and Wolfsburg, all on nil points.

Back to Huntelaar, as I've said umpteen times I watched a lot of Ajax games when he was there and I'm not convinced; I don't think he'd be a dead loss, but a serious improvement on what we have?

But that's exactly my point, everytime one of our current players goes on a bit of bad form starts a thread comparing them to an ex-player who is currently playing well.

Yes, because "What If?" always makes for the best sort of debate. I think almost everyone on here agrees that this is the strongest squad we have had for over 20 years. Doesn't mean we can't debate on possibles though...

So everytime Huntelaar scores a goal, someone on here always post how great KJH is and how he would be the next Van Basten, a lost opportunity for Spurs, a perfect fit for the PL, etc... I've seen Schalke and KJH play against Hoffenheim and Lyon - KJH did less then Pav did against West Brom last saturday (and at Real Madrid and AC Milan the past 2 years btw). Huntelaar is just an average striker. There was a post on here that KJH would score 25+ goals in the Bundesliga, I'd be surprised if KJH gets more than half that.

I was very much in favour of us signing KJH, but to be honest with you, once it bacame a deadletter, I have literally not given it a secondds thought. He is gone, end of.

Discussing possible signings is fine but the constant we need Bent back everytime we fail to score is glamorising a players past that wasn't very notable.

would have been a far better option than Fabiano who I am glad we didn't sign as he would have been a flop in England.

He'll score 25+ league goals this season in the Bundesliga. It is worrying that Harry didn't rate him but I feel that we were not going to bring any forwards in until a few went 1st, and they didn't want to leave

is it also worrying that Man utd , Arsenal, Liverpool or any other top European side didnt want him?

Or maybe just maybe ..these top experienced managers are a better judge of a player than us on here ?

**For the record i wanted him at spurs ..but if Harry didnt then im cool wth that and bow to his superior football knowledge

The thing nowadays is any striker linked to us could underperform...you could say the same about Benzema, Fabiano, Dzeko, Huntelaar etc. You just dont know how they would perform.

I think Huntelaar would have been good for us, look at the amount of Dutch players that have come to this League, they've all done well. Plus linking up with VDV would obviously have helped i would have imagined...

As said aboe i think the only way another striker would have been bought to the club if one left.
