Depends on how you evaluate success, what others do, luck, the weather, the draw, VAR
whatever.
Not a great luster after trophies.
Just as well I hear you say.

We will probably win something but that's not the whole point.

Continuing Academy and youth development
and another Harry Kane, Winks, SKipp, KWP
who at least make it into the squad if not the team.
Giving us some emotional investment in the team.

I hate shopping in all it's forms so I hope we won't abandon our
'build it don't buy it' tendency.

We've built the Stadium and training facilities
now lets continue to build the team.

Do us proud Spurs, more top four and CL runs
and a wise appointment after Mourinho leaves in say three years.

I have been very satisfied for most of the last decade
and believe we will continue to punch above our weight
more or less.

No sugar daddies or foreign investors please.
or foreign superstars/aces.
Buy 'em young and train em up the Tottenham way.
Rather be thrilled and entertained on a weekly basis
and see where it leads,
without rotational professional fouls crowding the ref, disputing every decision
and all the nonsense involved in selling out the beautiful game for a bauble.

Success like beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Nah, I reckon we're about due another round of Calderwoods, Austins, Kerslakes and a late winner in the sports drinks cup. We'll have a pot to piss in so the social media brigade can celebrate it and occasionally have player that shines brighter than Simon Jordans teeth every three or four years but for the most part we'll have 18 months of panto Jose followed by 3 - 6 years of Eddie Howe getting us 8th - 5th.

We'll end up getting owned by the 26th richest person in the world once the old boy and Gru sell up and we'll forever look back at the double season quoting Billy Nich and believe this year will be our year.

Doesn't mean I won't keep coming back. It's the hope that kills you, but it's a wheel.

This is where I am meant to put a rallying cry or the club slogan but I'll leave that to the rah rah types. It's not very Spurs, is it?

I truly don't know what to think.

I suspect it all hangs on how much support Mourinho is given in the transfer market both ins and outs. He has a proven track record of winning when he has the right resources at his disposal. I fear however we will just drift along with a few buys here and there and Mourinho will gradually become disenchanted and things will then go tits up.

Short term pessimistic as this team has been pretty poor for the last 12 months and the players seem to start every game as if they have been handicapped ( in racing terms) to the hilt.

It's just so frustrating when you look at the 2 teams who where in the CL final just 7 months ago and look at how much their fortunes have differed.

I still think we need to clear out the players who don't want to be here and only then can we move on as a club again, not sure if that will be with Mourinho or not, probably not.

Hoping for silverware in next decade but we're a long way off competing for the league again

Btw, the fact that the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd and to a lesser extent, Chelsea, aren't the forces they used to be can only be a good thing.

Plus Leicester, Wolves, etc, probably don't have the financial clout to sustain a challenge at the top for a prolonged period.

Ultimately, the fortunes of our rivals is almost as important as our own performance.

As it stands am very pessimistic feel we have really regressed as a club over the past 12/18 months (taking the champions league run out of the equation if that’s possible ).
Really unsure on the Mourinho appointment as manager and from what I’ve seen over the first month or so of his tenure not much has been done to ease those doubts. The noises coming from the club and Jose about investing in the squad and rebuilding the team have been very discouraging as well.
Think come the Start of next season we will be in far better position to assess how the decade is going to play out. As this will surely provide clear picture of where Daniel levy and Enic see us as a club going in the next decade.

As has already been mentioned we should have one at least one PL title whilst at our peak for Leicester to have won it whilst we couldn't in a season when the big boys had a season off was frankly embarrassing.
The CL final was again spurs being spurs with the normal outcome the high point being top four for four consecutive years, unfortunately we are now in decline and I can't see us getting back to challenge again I don't have belief even with the new stadium that the team will be competitive enough for the big trophies.
Most likely we will go back to finishing between 5th-7th Europa League most seasons is better than nothing and I expect nothing over the next decade. ;)

I've seen the best of times.....I've seen the worst of times....
And for the next ten years....well, I reckon we will see a few cup runs that will bring us pleasure... and pain...
Regular CL qualification, with an occasional hiccup, and Thursday night football should be seen as "a change is as good as a rest" & " variety is the spice of life" etc etc blah blah.
We'll be pretty much the same as we are now, a top 5 club, and as for winning the prem In the next decade.....anything is possible...look at Leicester!
We'll have maybe three more managers in this time and one of them will help us get that prem title.
During all of this we'll probably get knocked down, but we'll get up again...
We always do!

*No flirting with relegation....fuck that shit!

Not too optimistic, ENIC are looking to sell so they won't spend too much in transfer market. Once the stadium is paid off and they sell the club I'll be more optimistic. Still, we should be regular top 6 candidates, that's pretty good but we won't win the league in the next decade probably.

I think the big question is recruitment; the infrastructure is now second to none. Do we have the right people in place, and the desire to bring in the right players at the right times? We seem to be pretty lacking in this department when compared to some of the clubs around us. In some ways, Mr Levy is right: it’s not necessarily about spending loads; but what he seems unable currently to recognise is that to be successful in this way, is that the pace at which you identify and tie up targets has to be lightning quick - we often seem to be reactive rather than proactive.

I am very grateful to Enic for the investment that has propelled us forward to this point, however I remain unconvinced as to whether the chairman and ownership really hold a burning desire to be a winning football club - I believe the next 2-3 years will give us real context with which to judge whether we are going to reach the heights that all fans want for our club, or whether we will slowly but surely be needing new owners, perilous as that may seem.

The club's been up for sale for a while, they just need someone to come in and match their valuation however unrealistic it maybe, I think it happens sooner rather than later though.

This next decade will be known amongst future Spur fans as the roaring twenties. Our stadium income will put us at the very top table and once we win that first trophy we will smash everything.

That was always their endgame, they will sell 100%.

I think there is little doubt that this was their original plan but I genuinely think Levy loves his job, and loves the club, and is in it for the long term. The key factor will be what happens when Joe Lewis passes on and his heir could potentially be less of a silent partner (in terms of selling or investing more). Who knows.

Any evidence of this? I know everything has a price, but I have not been aware of the club being for sale at all.

I'm assuming then it's a case of someone making an offer big enough for them to sell without broadcasting it publicly that we are for sale.

Yep, it's like any club though...we're all up for sale if the offer is big enough.

As far as optimism goes Im just gonna ride it out with no expectations whatsoever, it will only lead to disappointment.
