fucking hell, mate - Bergwijn is unknown to you because he didn't play against us this year for Olympiacos under no pressure and when we were defending like utter twats? Podence could go either way, he was the next big thing a few years back at Sporting Lisbon but nobody wanted to take the punt so he ended up in Greece. Now it's anybody's guess.

We should be taking these punts, I agree - but we are doing that with Bergwijn. I'm willing to give him a chance and not start him off on the wrong foot because he's not some Portuguese dwarf who hasn't even particularly pulled up trees in Greece. His YouTube clips do look great, I'm sure, as he is a flashy type.

Calm your tits mate. Bergwijn played against us and I don't remember a thing he did. Podence was amazing against us both matches. Soon as he picked up the ball it was electric.
Anyway I didn't say Bergwijn won't be great. I don't know. What i do know is this boy has it. That's all I'm saying.

What about my post connoted that I wasn't calm to you? Podence was against Sanchez at right back in the first game and then Rose in the second. He wasn't amazing by any stretch of the imagination - he was direct and ran at us, but was mostly wasteful. As I said, flashy. He has all the talent required, but Bergwijn is widely considered the better prospect by people I'm sure watch them both more than us.

Fair enough, I of course hope you're right.

Podence has zero informs on Fifa
Bergwijn has 2

therefore I reckon we got the better player

Barcelona offering £85 million for Richarlison?!?!
Mental... The lad can't string 3 good games together.
Imagine what they'd offer for someone who can play consistently well.

And Everton have turned it down.
I think, as much as Richarlson is a decent player, I'd be sorely tempted at 85m.

Idiots and I bet the player is now fuming lol
I have said this before. With the crazy money in the Prem the teams just don't want to sell high performing players. There was a time Everton would readily sell a player like Richarlison for a high fee then reinvest.

Nowadays they won't sell on the strength of the bid so the player will need to either not try or behave badly to get a move and obtain a bad reputation.

If clubs are offering £85m for Richarlison now and Everton are rejecting they must be confident they can get more for him in the future.

Richarlison for £85?! Ridiculous!

I'd be absolutely fuming if we paid that much for such a player, livid. Then again, Barcelona do seem pretty stupid with their money.

A question to rival the chicken and the egg. Whose dumber, Barca for offering £85m or Everton for rejecting it?

I think their confidence is misplaced. He's nowhere near consistent enough.

With Barca, the question usually is about whose money it actually is...

Considering they paid around 50m for him I'm not surprised they turned it down. There probably were a lot of clauses in the deal too.
