I know it's been discussed elsewhere and may even require a thread, but this Mendes Wolves situation is really something FIFA and UEFA need to have a look at. Surely there is some unethical conflict of interests there.

Cracking signing otherwise though, as have most of the signings they've made since the relationship with Mendes started.
I'm not sure Wolves have done anything wrong, nor Mendes for that matter.

I'd understand if Mendes was shipping clients to Wolves to sell on for huge fee's but that as yet hasn't happened. it has only served to improve Wolves massively and they are competing.

They have found a way to compete in the Prem without a City/Chelsea type investment, operating very very smarty.

Anyone calling for them to be investigated are jealous its not their club doing this. The EFL have already looked into it when all the Championship clubs moaned and found nothing untoward.

signings like Rui Patricio, Neves, Moutinho, Jeminez, Johnny, Boly all great signings plus Adama who was nothing at Villa & Boro but made great at Wolves.

They've sold Ivan Cavaleiro to Fulham and Helda Costa to Leeds, but not for large fee's

they are to be applauded.

Anyway.. Decent signing again by Wolves.

I'm not all that knowledgeable on the subject but I think it has something to do with ownership. I believe I read that Wolves owners also own a stake in Mendes company....somebody more informed could probably offer a lot more insight.

Hypothetically speaking here, and I do agree with much of what you've said here so don't take it in the wrong way, but if we had been in for those players and every single one signed for Wolves ahead of us due to the Mendes connection and nothing else, would you still have the same stance? That's where I see it being unethical. There are a few other discrepancies to discuss too.

I feel this conversation can go on at length in another thread, so please can we start one and move the wolves Mendes chat to there?

He's had a dispute with the management, but explicity says not the coach so it has to be upper management.

He would strengthen Newcastle once match fit, I have no doubt there.

One of the reasons for being absence was because of his wife being hospitalized for three months during pregnancy and gave birth. The second time due to a injury were he refused to show up for the team when the played.

The pregnancy and his wife giving birth I get, but to refuse your supporting duties as a player, is childish

Bentaleb to Newcastle on loan with an option to buy.

Will be interesting to see him back. Hasn’t played for Schalke since being dropped to the U23’s back in March 2019 for disciplinary reasons.

This is actually a pretty crazy stat too...

They also signed for Wolves for much smaller fees than you'd imagine other clubs would have been charged. Rúben Neves was already being linked with the best teams in Europe, for instance. Anyway.

Yeah. Ruben Neves was considered a hot prospect at the time and would not have ended up at Wolves in the Championship if Mendes wouldn't have told him to go there. Clearly.

Bentaleb's a really talented player but I get a lot of Kevin Prince-Boateng vibes about him. Will probably never make the most of his talent.

Bayern just loaned Alvaro Odriozola. There is no word of a buying clause. They probably want to fix their RB issue and fill it in the summer with Lukas Klostermann or so.

Man United have bid £30m for Jude Bellingham apparently - also expected to complete Bruno Fernandes deal for around £55-60m... would be a couple of really good signings for them.

Captain of Porto at the age of 18 wasn't he?

Villa signed that 16 year old that Barca signed from West Brom or whoever it was - that'll keep them up.
