The Dortmund transfer model is something we should really try and emulate.
We did for years, then it became very expensive for English clubs.

Pretty sure the source has muddled things and included players available for loan. Norwegian media are reporting that Ødegaard will be loaned out again, with Leverkusen likely atm.

Norwich loan Patrick Roberts from City for the season. That could be a very good move, there was so much hype around him a few years ago and Norwich have proved with Pritchard and Maddison that they can be a good place to develop similar young players.

They clearly have a model and it's been working well for them lately. Shows what a consistent strategy can do (at pretty much any level) for a club, rather than solving different problems each season and never building.
