Not interesting.... funny! Serves him and his agent right.
Yes he's injured, he got injured on international duty.Interesting to see that he hasn't played for RM despite Marcelo being injured.
Is FC injured himself?
I suppose, considering AVB's pining for him, we will try again in the Jan or next summer but eh. Colour me apathetic about him joining. Not sure he's all that as a LB anyway but after making it clear he'd prefer to go elsewhere? Hardly the attitude AVB seems to be trying to instill in the rest of the group considering the Ade and Benny situations.
Yes. I'd have to think after the summer we had we made our interest known etc and all the noises were he wanted to stay at RM and fight for his place only to suddenly jump when Yanited came calling at the last minute. Obviously a guess on my part but that doesn't exactly sound like he was married to idea of staying at RM. More that he just wasn't interested in playing for us.If we actually made a solid approach for him and he didn't entertain us, then I'm disappointed with Coentrao's attitude. He could be playing every week for us in a very exciting team. it's not CL, but we'd match his wages and he'd at least be playing football in a top league.

Yeah, but would we actually match his wages or what he wants? He'd be on just about top dollar at Spurs. I understand that it's also a vital part of any team, but to warrant being the top earner? No I don't think so.
It would've cost us about £60k per week to match his wage at Madrid, which was about EUR2m net per annum apparently, so probably about the going rate really.
I'm no expert, but have read that it was £2m not Euros. This is more in the range of £75k pw - there's online calculators.
All conjecture of course. He's not here. Of course I would have liked him in the squad, but that doesn't really matter now.
Nah, it is widely mentioned as Euros - Though if it was £2m per annum net we'd need to pay him in the region of £3,636,363 gross, so about £70k per week. Obviously this ignores NI and any potential tax sheltering that may be going on.
Whatever, google is your friend (and foe)*. As I said it doesn't matter. I think if he was a reasonable target for the right price then we would have signed him. He was and is overpriced imo. Is he worth more than Lamela, Eriksen, Soldado et etc? Lunch time methinks.
*Type in Fabio Contrao wages and see what comes up and also take home pay calculators. The Standard says £100k per week, although they know jack....!
IMO. Would prefer Luke Shaw, huge potential, prem proven, 7 years younger, and English.
and Luke Shaw wouldn't come here so it doesn't matter.
Has he said that?

He supports them. If they go in for him he'll go there. And for now he'll probably hold out for a move there.
