Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has been handed a boost in his pursuit of Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo. The 25-year-old's proposed move to AS Monaco is reportedly on the verge of collapse, although Spurs may still have some work to do before the player is theirs for the taking.

Dunno about anyone else but I’m concerned if we go for him as Monaco was apparently his first choice and he didn’t want to come to us.
Prefer it if we only sign players who really want to be here

Perhaps he'd prefer to join Monaco as a regular starter than us as a squad player, but would rather warm the bench for us that start for Fulham. That's very different to not wanting to come to us.

True. I suppose we may never know the exact thoughts of the player.

This is a bit of a fragile perspective.

There is nothing here about him "not wanting to be here".

His "preference" is simply to be a starter. There's nothing wrong with that. It's a good thing if anything.

There would be a very limited player base where Spurs are a player's absolute first choice. That's normal in the market, and a lot of it is circumstantial.

Being lower on the on someone's list of preferred destinations does not mean they do not want to be here.

True about wanting to be a starter but he should also have the desire to fight for his place and earn the right to be a starter

Has he got that desire/fight? Who knows

If he wants to advance his career he has to take on those challenges and back himself to succeed. Of course, the other factor is wages which usually helps to smooth the path and I presume we'd be very competitive on that front.
