I hate to bring this topic up again but are our players suffering from lack of conditioning (again?)?

The reason is because this was obviously a huge media issue when Ramos took over. And whether you liked Ramos or not, you could not argue with the physical results. I remember watching our players sprinting late in the Ar5ena1 match.

Once again in the CC final, our players started to seize up (Dawson & Lennon) yet Man Utd's players did not. Thoughts???

Agreed. Ramos right hand man really knew his stuff. We look like we are back at the old Hughton Dorris combo from yesteryear. Well..not quite that bad, but you know.

Remember Mido, Reid, Hudd etc etc under Jol? haha.

I'm sure Kevin Bond and Joe Jordan are at the cutting edge of fitness, conditioning and diet

We were running around more than they were because they're better than us.

On the subject...Did anyone notice how athletic Keane looked when he signed from Liverpool? He had cheekbones and everything. Ooh. Gorgeous!

Absolute rubbish, I'd say both teams looked as tired.

King does not train but played two hours without getting cramp. Eek
What are we going to doing about his knee?

I was shocked to see King be able to go the whole 120 mins, especially after 90 on Monday night as well. Lennon was our main man yesterday afternoon, and did most of our creative work, tormenting Evra. Was gutted when he went off, because I thought he was the main chance of scoring/creating a goal. Well, him and Modric

As Kendall says - we chased more, we got more tired. Bond, Scottish Mentalist and Redknapp have very little to do with fitness - we have specialists for that (and diet) as Harry mentioned in an article a few months back.

They were playing when the GK would be smoking a fag at half time.

So was Sir Alex Ferguson, his team are rarely - if ever - found wanting for fitness..
They did look as tired as us, but, they also made one more substitute, which I found strangeof Harry not to do in extra time, Hudd could/would take a penalty no?

We looked tired well before the 90, it crossed my mind that we didn't look as fresh as normal, especially since nearly everyone had 6 days to recover from the last match. Chasing the ball for long periods doesn't help.

Makes you wonder what type of shape we will be in after summer training. Will we be as fit as Arsenal or Man Utd?

Perhaps that comes with a bit of professionalism that our London loving lads seem to be lacking.

I suppose I will stir the pot a bit more because it seems like I got quite a lot of agreement out teh internetz group?

Oh come on... The lads played their hearts out. No matter how fit and conditioned you are, you can run yourself to the ground in over 90 mins. Those that were not having cramps were probably pacing themselves. I believe Lennon and Dawson really gave it all they had in their tank as it was a cup final.
