I don’t like Winks although he has improved recently but I would be tempted to play him not just tonight but moving forward instead of Hojbjerg. What is the point of him? runs in treacle, dodgy passing and woeful going forward. Yes he’s decent at tackling and making tactical fouls but he’s been like tumbleweed this season.

Played off the park. Aside from Tanganga’s two horrendous errors of judgment costing us two goals, we’ve defended ok as a team, but we’ve got absolutely nothing started and have basically made no contribution to the game.

It has been mainly due to Chelsea being good, rather than us being bad (Tanganga excepted) and it hasn’t been due to individual bad performances. Chelsea just have a better team and have prevented us from having the ball long enough to trouble their weakened defence.

We haven’t had a shot yet.

Get a goal back by hook or by crook and the tie has a much different feel to it but it goes without saying we can't be gifting wanky goals away coupled with needing to be alot more cute in a our attacking play.
