I think Gil has a big future here but he's not at the club yet and won't be until next week. He won't be featuring in the league for a while.

I didn't watch the game, was going to miss the start and didn't think it was worth paying for part of the game.

But we were never going to be hitting the ground running for the start of the season.

Pre season has been broken up with players arriving back at different times (if at all... )

Getting new formation/tactics implemented.

Getting new players integrated (in a disjointed pre season) hopefully we see more in soon.

First outing together for Skipp and Hojbjerg, who have had one or two training sessions together?

He and Romero will be excellent signings. I have a lot of hope in Gil too, but he is very young so he might not be incredible in his debut season.

I have no doubt he will play I just don't see the point in believing he will suddenly solve our attacking problems. He will have good moments and bad just like any young player. We need more.

I’ve said elsewhere, I think we actually have a more than serviceable collection of attackers and any problems we have can be solved on the training ground.

Ndombele, Lo Celso, Dele, Son, Bergwijn, Lucas, Gil, Kane… that’s a lot of choice for ultimately 4 positions (Though Lo Celso I envisage completing mainly with Skipp and Højbjerg for those 2 rules due to his tenacity). What they need is to be coaches and drilled into good attacking patterns.

As much as I hate to admit it, he played well. I think it helped that Kante went off but I think we passed it better in the second half.
