I was trying to be serious but got more laughs than most of my jokes!
That has to be one of the more meaningless penalties to apply. Nobody will care. Players, managers, fans, will all know they won, and already celebrated those trophies.
If you want to punish them - its not about taking away what they already have - its about ensuring they don't get any more in the near future.
Nobody reads the history books.Blimey - being stripped of their trophies for cheating would be an indelible stain for eternity. It would literally be in the history books.
Can you name a single example from history where a national sporting team has been stripped of a title for cheating and the response has been a "shrug"?Nobody reads the history books.
Players/fans have already celebrated, and its not like they care how the tropics were financed.
The moment someone says: "You guys did not win!", it will be met with:
If Raya was worth £70 million according to Brentford then Pickford should bring in somethingWho are they going to sell that has any value?
This is the most Colleen Rooney/Rebekah Vardy post everI really think an Everton fan would murder you for saying that. Can you imagine, you and some other two dudes go do a bank robbery. They get most of the money and live the good life. A few years later they both get arrested. A couple of years later, you get arrested and sent to jail for 30 years.....their case is still pending and by all accounts it looks like they will get 12 months probation.
Those two dudes are Man City and Chelsea......................
Exactly.Tbh 10 points is a fairly substantial punishment, what skews it is this season the league has three clubs who aren’t even remotely close to PL level.
So it seems light because actually I think Everton despite being deducted points are likely still favourites to finish above all three promoted clubs.
I think in previous seasons where the quality of the league top to bottom is stronger. Everton are basically saying goodbye at this point. The punishment itself to me is actually a substantial one, it just happens to have fallen right for Everton in the sense it’s more than salvageable.
Nothing would give me greater pleasure than Chelsea having a 10 point deduction in 16/17 seasonNobody reads the history books.

No harm in stripping them then. Just think of it as a little bit of record keeping. That has to be one of the more meaningless penalties to apply. Nobody will care. Players, managers, fans, will all know they won, and already celebrated those trophies.

Levy gets it for not investing in the team at the right times, and for having no football strategy- flip, flop.Regarding City and Chelsea.
You have to see this through Levy's eyes.
He gets shit constantly thrown at him for not putting this club at risk by overspending and doing everything to increase investment and income anyway legally possible.
He has sone this for 20 years and played by the book despite the criticism he gets.
Meanwhile, to make his job even more difficult (to appease Tottenham fans with success) he has 2 other club ownership show a total lack of regard for rules and cheat their way to surpassing your club and beating you to trophies.
Especially as these 2 have beaten us to players, trophies and even tapped up our players
Everton would be included in that if they hadn't been so awful and challenged us.
He will not accept this lying down which probably explains Pep's pathetic smear of him.
According to this Guardian article the desicions of the PL commissions that decide on the punishment are final subject to appeal and clubs cannot go to the law courts, in this case the investigating commission was led by David Phillips KC, are Everton going to take him to court ?If I were Everton I would be letting it known, load and clear, if Chelsea and Man City are not dealt with harshly then the PL will be in Court very very quickly.

Would love this to happen, but won’t be holding my breath for it.The Times reporting this morning that Chelsea and city would be looking at relegations given the scale of Everton's punishment
