We seem to like playing Brighton.

Reminds me of our Swansea games. Two teams playing good football with us coming out on top most of the time.

Both teams missing important players, but i do think we'll outscore them.

1-3 Spurs. Fancy Johnson to get on the scoresheet here and Richy to keep his scoring going.

I thought we were playing them today. Obviously too much pre and post festive plonk. Part of my Boxing Day plans will have to change. Longer dog walk and more pub time. What a bummer😆

We are on a good run of three wins in a row but we are very stretched squad-wise and we have two more injury issues coming out of the Everton match on Saturday with Richarlison and Romero both being withdrawn as a precaution. It is hoped that both will be fine by the 28th to take their places in the team to play at Brighton. They are a good team but they seem to have forgotten how to win football matches in the Premier League while winning Europa League games. Since the start of October they have played eleven PL matches and won just two of them, drawing six and losing three so we can go there with confidence. It will probably be a very technical game and I personally think that their style will suit us down to the ground. They will go toe to toe with us and not try to stifle the game and I can see us exploiting their far from watertight defence and taking the three points. Brighton & Hove Albion 1 Tottenham Hotspur 3. Brighton drop back, stifle us, then stretch and kill us with pace, think we’ll find it a little tough with the depleted squad.

They won’t, though. They’ll go for it, and we’ll get a tonne of space.

Brighton has one of the worst defensive records in the league.

Mitoma also looks like he will be missing, which will be a big loss for them.

I think we'll win 3-1.

We are so depleted at the moment it’s hard to call any results or performance. We desperately need to try and keep getting through these games and pick up the results regardless of how pretty it might not be. We were poor against Everton, feel our luck won’t stretch to another game. We will need to be better.

We're never going to be playing great with the number of injuries and suspensions we have

Virtually playing with Contes lineup

Only reason we've done ok is because Ange sets us up to win

So Bournemouth play on boxing day at 3pm. We play on the 28th at 7.30pm and then we play each other on NYE at 2pm. That seems totally fair.

Yeah but they had less rest between playing Saturday and then yesterday...were we've had 5 days rest to Brighton ...

So from a cumulative sense there's not much difference...

The Brighton and Bournemouth games are massive for us to potentially put ourselves in a great position going into the new year. I expect both will be a real struggle like the Everton game with our squad down to the bare bones and we can’t really do any rotations. Just have to hope we take our chances when they come as it is likely we will concede against two very pacey teams in transition.

Especially Bournemouth who are playing fantastically well at the moment and bursting with confidence.

They are, but theyre not as physical/imposing as Everton so should suit us.

Guaranteed goals in this one, still expect us to have to much for them.

And think Brighton away is tougher.

Yeah but i think number of days since the last game is probably more important (you still feel the effects of the last game in your legs with only 2 days rest). I know this happens with midweek European fixtures all the time but seems a fair bit anti-competitive to do this solely for TV reasons and you'd think it could've been arranged better.

We've had no europe, played way less games than usual so far this season....

Its just our injury situation, we'd be coping no problem with this if the injury situation wasnt as bad.
