What an anticlimax of a deadline day.

I really expected a host of loan deals for some higher profile players.

Looks like everyone 'sticking'.

At least Man United seem to be getting linked to every wing forward in world football. Just what they need!

Other than us signing Skriniar, the only thing that can bring joy to me today is the goon's deal for Partey collapsing ?

All they have to do is pay the release clause amount (€ 50m I believe) - if they pay that, he's theirs, if they don't, he isn't.

United should go for Lemar. Need a left footed attacker really. On loan would be decent. Would have taken him as at his peak he is only behind bale and son for those positions but we are too stocked there.

This Facundo Pellistri. fellow. from the land of Paraguay. Well I say fellow, he seems no more than a young whipper snapper of only 18 years of age.

How may this young man, of Latin origins and yet to don the head covering for his illustrious nation, how may I ask, will the former giants of Manchester manage to secure permission to ply his trade in the Premier League of English football? I think some skullduggery is afoot.

Wonder what's happened with Torreira. Felt out of favour so quickly.

Seems to be a very "Arsenal" thing to buy a player, he gets proclaimed as being some immense bargain and the squad should be built around him, then the next thing you know they are trying to offload said player to a mid table european league club

Think teams and agents just don’t realize the economic turmoil everyone is in. Prices are just too high and havent come down. Thats why only simple loans are on offer and seemingly everyone is scrambling. Think this will end up being very anti climactic with far fewer deals happening than usual. Levy got whatever done he could without outgoings but has run into it on the outgoings and Skriniar.

Thing is everyone wants loan to buy, however they are more complicated than actual transfers to complete. The risk of a straight loan for an established player is greater than say a young player going out on loan.

I'm surprised all the big teams aren't in for Partey at that price. He's always been great when I've watched him. What am I missing?

It's the fact like all release clauses that the fee has to be paid in one bulk installment. Ex. Griezmann and Joao Felix both went for one big payment of more than 100mil. Huge outlay for any club. Arse bought Pepe but only pay like 15 mil a year for 5 years. They'd have to pay 45 mil right now for partey. Big sum.

The BBC have dredged the dregs with their pundits.

'Cavani is exactly the player Man Utd need right now'

People need to put more respect on Edinson Cavani's name. He is world class.
I know he is 33, but he has still got top quality. He is exactly the player Man Utd need right now.
He presses from the front, he scores goals.
He is not going to be a part of a five-year plan, but as a stop-gap, to give United more time to bring in players over the coming seasons, for me he would be a massive player for Manchester United.

Come on, at 33, and such a big name player, you must be kidding to think he will press from the front.

Anyway, United has no clue at all in building their squad. Long may that continue. Their plan now is to score more goals than others. But with the Muppets as the back defending, no amount of fire power upfront will save them.

It's attitude rather than talent that's led Arteta to ditch him. The money spat he had with Maupay in the summer when Brighton beat them was apparently the final straw, Arteta has made him train with the U23s since.

Hahahaha he was too much of a c*nt for even arsenal
