I think we need a new keeper, centre back, left back, right back, defensive midfielder and striker.

In the squad at the moment I think that we should be looking at the futures of
Vorm, KWP, Aurier, Rose, Verts, Foyth, Dier, Alli and Moura.

This is pure fantasy football. We would never shift that amount of players nor I suspect being in a similar volume but we probably have a half dozen players in the list that should definitely be moved on.

The bolder players are probably all at some degree of risk to leave, even if on loan.

Gazzaniga is coming into his prime, will have accrued a decent value and is good enough to start games for someone, even if not a top side. Sell

Foyth just hasn’t appeared since his last horror show (yes he was injured for part of that time) and is at a point where if he doesn’t play he won’t develop. Sell/ Loan

Likewise Sessegnon needs games to develop but needs to develop to get games with us. Loan

Sissoko value is only declining from here, is still obviously capable at top flight level, and is likely to play less and less here. Sell

Ndombele, whatever the background, clearly isn’t currently in favour. Next ten games are massive for him. What might save him is that he’s young enough and talented enough to justify persisting with for one more season. Keep

Lamela’s continued fitness issues ultimately hurt far more in an injury crisis and as much of a likeable player as he is, we have several experienced options in his part of the pitch now including the versatile Gedson. Sell

Parrott looks talented, and if he gets the chance in the next 10 games then might change my mind on this, but having turned 18 and ensured his HG status for us I can see him being given game time elsewhere while we bring in either a versatile young forward line Osihmen to challenge Kane, or another Llorente type seasoned pro to keep the seat warm. Loan

This would leave us needing a top right back (as I foresee Tanganga moving to Foyth CB slot), a back up goalie (hopefully a young successor to Lloris), a top left back, a top class DM and a back up/ rotation striker, giving us a 22 man squad to be supplemented by the youth, so three first choice players and two back ups/ development players. None of that is unreasonable to expect, and all relatively realistic I’d say.

Not sure Alderweireld, Sanchez, Dier and Tanganga is good enough at CB but I don’t think they’ll get rid of any of them so maybe we wouldn’t prioritize that spot. Who knows, maybe Alderweireld and Sanchez look better with a DM and better fullbacks?

Bar Kane, Son, Lo Celso and Bergwijn (as he cant be judged too harshly yet) you could the rest of em and nobody would bat an eyelid.

The entire defence could (and should) be sold.

Ndombele (not adjudged, but is a lazy bastard)

Winks is decent but could be easily replaced.

Cancel Fernandes now. He'll never be good enough.

Sissoko is getting on

Lamela, such promise but constantly fails to deliver or is injured.

Dele, a complete enigma. But sell while he has some worth

Lucas, never gonna be good enough

Keepers are much of a muchness

I'd sell/release the following in the summer:

Winks
Moura
Walker-peters
Rose
Davies
Verts
Lamela
Possibly even dier and alli

Rose should have gone a season or 2 ago. Lamela, whilst a tidy player when fit, just has too many injury issues. Verts is getting on now and I wouldn't begrudge him leaving on a free.

The rest just aren't good enough. Yes, moura had a blinder in the champions league last season but he is just so inconsistent and doesn't contribute many goals which is no good when you lose kane.

I think we really need to be looking at a long term replacement for lloris too.

Next season I'd like to see Jose rest senior players in the Cup and play the youngsters that are in the fringes. Give them a run to prove themselves and also experience, I'd love to win the FA Cup but use the league Cup to blood the youngsters and rest key players.

And finally, let's go out and buy a back up striker to kane. And I don't mean some over the hill free contract. We need to drop a pretty penny for a consistent goal scorer and then rotate them both. Granted kane wants to start every game but we need him to go an entire season without injury.

What we really don't need to be doing is causing ourselves unnecessary issues by selling reliable squad players like Davies, Dier and Winks - see last summer's sales of Trippier and Llorente for reference. Evolution, not revolution.

Our defence needs an on pitch leader. Toby and Hugo both very quiet / passive. Primarily I'd like us to buy a new spine to the team:

CB: Koulibaly
DCM: Ndidi
CF: Osimhen

I'd like to think that Sessegnon can become a flying LB, but he does not seem to have the aggressive approach needed to be dominant from deep on that flank. Also worried that Hugo is past his best and may need upgrading.

Kane and Son playing off Osimhen with Moura and Bergwijn coming off the bench to freshen things up would give us great attacking options, with Lamela, Dele, Lo Celso and Ndombele competing for CM/AM roles, but may need to sell at least one of those to fund the purchases.
