He looked very good when he came on. Yeah he was a tad off the pace but technically you can tell he is comfortable with the ball ... he need sto play and a run in the team will help.

He was class.

Did so well playing in the central but less involved once he went to the left wing

He and Ali are playing the same position not sure how we can fit both

You play 433 with GLC in the middle 3 and Dele in the front 3

Clearly an extremely talented player who is taking time to settle, as many do. Can’t have been easy coming to a new country, not speaking the language, suffering the first significant injury of his career, and having his countryman sacked as manager before ever having started a run of matches.

We’re crying out for someone who can dictate play from central midfield and there’s clearly lots more to come from him. Should really improve us overall.

If he hasn’t done enough with that cameo to start the next game then I’ll be annoyed. Great he was brought on before Eriksen though, that might give him a little boost.

His talent is unquestionable. No way that dier, winks or sissoko should be ahead of him even if they do play differing roles. We cant play turgid football forever and jose must surely change his approach to how we have set up the cm area thus far. We are conceding goals regardless so ud rather see tanguy and gio in cm.

Absolutely must start the next game as part of the CM2. His ability to dictate play is vital to getting the best out of Dele, Kane, etc.

I thought he changes the game - injected some urgency and of course having someone who can complete a pass certainly helped.

Really think we need one of him/Lamela/Eriksen/Ndombele to be playing to link up our play.

I agree and I think the one thing we are missing to make magic going forward is a world class DM

I keep hearing this about the need for a "world class DM" (very rarely any achievable names mentioned by the way) but I actually think we'd have less need of one if we could keep the ball and complete some passes - which isn't happening with Dier and/or Sissoko in midfield.

For the vast majority of games we should be dominating the opposition - Brighton, Bournemouth, Newcastle etc etc all have much poorer squads than us and yet Dier standing in the centre and Sissoko charging about covering for his mate Serge (or Jan the slowest LB in the league) mean we are causing our own problems.

It's particularly annoying as we have players in Eriksen, GLC, Ndombele and Lamela who can actually do all this.

If we signed a proper DCM and played Lo Celso and Ndombele either side, with 3 from Kane, Dele, Son, Moura and Sessegnon making up the front line we’d be a much, much better side!

I don't watch every team and the players they have so I think its difficult to say who. But we see so many other teams that find players we have never heard of and some we have that could fit the bill. So Ill leave that to the professionals but on your point about plaing without a DM or an average DM,as we push up the defence gets exposed without strong cover, the stronger the attack the MORE the need for a player in front of the back line not less

Yeah, I really don't see why Dele couldn't play in a front three. Sure its not his ideal spot but his best asset is his runs in behind. He could do that off either side of Kane just fine I bet. Allow us to regain control & tempo in the midfield by sticking 3 in there.
