Lo celso a must jose! A player that can play progressive football and our forward players know he can play a pass if they make runs.

How’d he do today?
While he is another player you can see the talent there, same last game when he came on, I don't know where he fits in the this team. Signing him and Ndombele in the same window makes no sense to me.

yeah that’s where I’m at on it. Especially when both manager have consistently picked Eriksen ahead of him.

In the Poch team it was clear we needed a secondary play maker. We always played with Dele and a #10 type but we only had one. We needed another player when Eriksen was out could play through balls and make little chips over the defense. It made complete sense, unfortunately now Mourinho wants Dele to play as our #10 and two wingers.

I still want to understand what they thought they were doing in the summer with the signings and the supposed 'attempted' signings - it makes it look awfully crowded with little semblance of a plan on how they were all to work.

Fucking typical Spurs, throw cash at something and still fucking get it wrong.

It’s like they seen he’s a left footed Argentinian so assume he plays where Lamela does.

I don’t get it as he’s never played there, always through the middle either CM or AM/false 9

The only thing I can think is Poch wanted to play the dreaded diamond

Yeah but Poch was alienating players by fucking about so much - it's still crowded now, Lo Celso has talent yet sticks out like a sore thumb ... Sorry, transfer policy and the summer window still looks a shambles to me.

We needed a top quality central midfielder. We signed Ndombele.
We needed an Eriksen replacement/competition. We signed Lo Celso.

Makes sense to me.

Yet they can't seemingly play in the same team and no one has played him in behind the front man yet ... Thought he played as an 8 at Betis ... Not sure how that fits in this team with Ndomble here ...

Yeah, which had other knock on effects on the playing squad. It's a fucking mess if you ask me.

If Lloris doesn’t recover we need a new number one. We need 2 new fullbacks, 2 central midfielders, an Eriksen replacement another winger (if Mourinho wants to play with two) and aback up for Kane.

That’s without mentioning all the sales that are required.

It’s crazy how much work is needed and realistically it’s going to take at least 2 summer transfers windows.

He was good - lots of nice movement, touches and interchanges in a poorly organised midfield. Only guilty of trying one too many dribbles in congested areas but no worse for that than Dele, Eriksen, Kane

I like all 3 buys, we just needed 5 or 6 players in reality. Reeks of Arsenal to me, spend big on Ozil/Sanchez to appease fans/the manager while all the same knowing it really wasn't enough to compete truly.
