But then the levels of finance involved, the ball is still very much in Madrid's court in coming to the table with a suitable offer and on favourable terms and that seems miles off at this stage.
Parker out is to be expected and with Livermore seemingly out on loan to Hull and Hudd's days numbered, it's nice to see us streamlining the squad and cutting back on the wages.

ok, so I went and dusted off the calculator and have been thinking about this Joe Lewis and an injection of money (AKA £50 Mil)
Now BEFORE I get the normal replies of (this isnt how transfers work and you dont know the fee's or wages. I will save you the time.........What I am about to write could be the BIGGEST load of
EVER!! However, I do not have the privilege of knowing any further so am working with what is considered to be fairely accurate figures 
so here goes.......
Firstly sales (going back to Jan 2013)
£250K x 52 weeks = £13mil + £15mil (from transfers) = £28mil
Potential sales (although the latest livermore ITK buggers this up a little)
£410K x 52 = £21.32mil + £44mil (from potential transfers) = £65.32mil (for the purpose of ease this will be £65mil)
£65mil + £28mil = £93mil
Players already brought in (from Jan 2013)
£190K x 52 = £9.88mil + £52mil (from transfer fee's) = £61.88mil ( for the purpose of ease this will be £62mil)
Potential Players in based on ITK and suspected wages (that have been mentioned in the respective player threads)
£370 x 52 = £19.24mil + £90mil (in transfer fee's) = £109.24mil ( for the purpose of ease this will be £109mil)
£109mil + £62mil = £171mil
Based on the above load of that I regretted starting almost as soon as I started writing it 
I have come to the below total figures for the end of this window.
Total money recouped/saved following player sales (including wages) = £93mil
Total money spent including wages = £171
Difference = £78mil
SO............... £78mil!
lets say the reported interest free loan from Lewis is £50mil (as ITK reported) that leaves £28mil
now £28mil is not a bad price to pay to firstly secure Champs league next season (and potentially more aka title challenge)
Then also think of the extra TV money we received last season.
So to Summarise........ I KNOW this is all likely to be a load of and never going to happen but it is nice to dream and also to think of a Logical way where we can sign these players and not have to sell out love child that is BALE!!
anyway let the 'doh' and 'creative' ratings begin...
