Roberto Soldado wouldn't be on his way (and I really think he is) if we were selling our Golden Boy! If Madrid are open to letting us have Coentrao, it's because they want to keep us sweet for next year.

Why would we have a partnership agreement with them unless we were willing to do business with them for Bale? I think it's fairly likely he's going there, just probably not this summer. Coentrao on loan for a year with an option to buy, then they get first dibs on Bale next summer providing he wants to go, hasn't miraculously regressed, and isn't injured. Seems likely to me.
