dunno if mattf on coys is itk or where the info is from but anyway
Chadli was 100% at the training ground last week. He has offers from other clubs, think they are willing to pay more than us.

Well, as you all know, somewhat annoyingly I had my bike stolen last week. I told you lot on here after it happened and had the piss taken out of me, I tried to be funny in return but apparently my humour was to subtle for you lot and instead of making you all laugh, I convinced you all that I was as thick as shit.

I reported it to the police more out of hope than expectation that I would ever get it back. I held out some hope however that it might be retrievable but thought that if it wasn't found quickly then it wouldn't be found at all.

As the days passed my optimism slowly turned to acceptance that my bike was gone forever. I walked to places I had once rode to, I even got some buses as well. All the time thinking "If only I had my bike".

Anyway, about half an hour ago I decided to walk my dog. I usually walk her over the field that's just on the back of my little estate but today, for no reason in particular, I decided to walk her down to the local green and to the shops.

I walked down the road and came up to the edge of the green and saw a few groups of people enjoying the Friday sun. Instead of following the path I walked straight across the grass towards the tree's, past a group of four blokes playing football and saw another group of people, two men and a woman, sitting just by the shade of the tree's. My dog, off the lead, ran over to say hello (she is a very friendly dog) and so I followed her over to make sure she didn't make too much mischief.

As I got closer I noticed one of the blokes there was leaning on a bike. By the time I was about ten metres away, I saw that the bike was in fact MY bike. "You cheeky fucker, that's my bike", I thought to myself. I walked straight up to the guy who was leaning on MY bike and said, "You cheeky fucker, that's my bike!"

"You what?! No it 'aint, it's my brothers", he said. At this point the four people playing football had noticed that there was a commotion brewing, they stopped playing football and made their way over to stick their ugly boats in.

"What's going on 'ere then?" One of them said.

"That cheeky fucker has my bike".

"Jog on mate, that's his bike". Was the guy's reply.

The group of blokes (and even the wench they were with) had all risen to their feet by now and had formed a semi-circle around me. "Hmmmm" I thought to myself. "Better get alpha male on their asses". As they were obviously trying to intimidate me.

I turned back to the guy who had been leaning on MY bike and said, "Hand it over". They all laughed, looking around at each, each gaining strength from the others, a mob mentality started to settle over them.

The guy with my bike dropped it to the floor and said "No" as he squared up to me, challenging me. What happened next was stunning, for them, but not for me.

Without so much as one more word I bitch slapped him. I slapped him so hard he actually fell over. I stood over him and said, "I'm taking my bike". The now sorry looking bloke held one hand to his face while leaning up on the other elbow and looked up at me and just nodded.

As I picked up my bike I looked at the others, all them had fallen silent. Not one of them held my stare. I was fuming. The guy who had butted in from the group playing football did pipe up after a few seconds however, "Oi", he said.

I ignored him. I whistled for my dog, got on my bike a started to ride away.

"Oi!" He shouted after me.

I stopped, turned in my saddle and said, "What? Don't tell me you want a slap as well?".

"You what?!"

I laughed to myself as I turned to ride on, ignoring his 'you what'.

"I've now woken up in hospital with half a brick buried in the back of my head. Worth it though (I sure loved that bike)".

*Well done - I'm glad you've got your bike back actually. Be careful though but you have to weigh up each situation as it presents itself.

Was adiepf ever ok'ed as itk or was he thrown on the wum pile?

He had ITK status for a while. He may have even had a decent link at one time. I can remember many of his ITK being in line with other ITK (and often he might be to the story first). What did him in was that he took not-so-logical steps in conclusion almost every time.

Source: we're looking at Gigi Buffon
Him: Buffon is done

whereas somebody like JJ would have said
JJ: Buffon? That's crazy. Of course we're interested but let's by reasonable.

And on top of that he wanted to be important and thus stated his conclusions as more than fact....as absolutes.

And after failing on that first big one (forget the Sevilla striker's name), he kept doubling down, over and over.

So he burned bridges. Not only with us, but I think with his original source too.

And this is pure opinion. I can't say for sure that is what happened. He might have been making things up all along or he might have been heavily connected and bad luck did him in. But it's my best guess.

I don't think too many would argue with that Mullers. Do you not think Modric going earlier, and for a much smaller amount than most of us figured, has something to do with that.I think Dembele was identified and purchased also quite quickly on that basis as well. I think Ramos was the biggest loser. Personally I would have liked to have seen Comolli replaced first and Ramos given more time. I do wonder how different things might have been had we managed to pull off the Arshavin deal. Would have given Ramos the left wide forward he was looking for, and some craft to make up for the loss of Berbatov.

I don't think many of us would argue with the premise that it is in everyone's interest to get players in as quickly as possible. But the problem is, and what many of us defend, is that we are at the stage when only players of a very high calibre can improve us. They come at a premium in terms of fees and wages. And now there are several clubs who have raised this bar to utterly unrealistic levels, making it even harder for clubs like us (and look at how Arsenal have struggled to compete at the top lately also) to source these players. So what do we do ? Play the auction waiting game in the hope of securing a top quality player or move early and take someone further down the list ? When we gamble on these types of players it gets as much criticism (Sig, Dempsey, Pienaar, Bentley, Defoe, Bent) and we end up with players now at a higher status club paying higher wages stuck on our payroll and in no hurry to get off.
Pienaar imo was very unlucky, Dempsey I didn't support buying, but in the end did alright for us. Sig I didn't know much about when we bought him, but I like him, all the rest I supported us buying at the time.
The only top top quality players I've seen us secure is Modric and VDV, securing VDV was very fortunate I wouldn't count on that happen. We've spent 17 million on Pauliniho and got him early last season we bought Demebele for 15 million, who I like but imo isn't of the very highest calibre, tbh I'd rather have forgone Paulinho and Demebele and got Moutinho in last season. But that really isn't my my main complaint, my main complaint with Levy is that he keeps making the same mistakes over and over again and they are silly ones, they are avoidable ones. Maybe some people think we have a lot of time, we don't. Everything is in cycles, right now is our time and we are not really making the best of it, we don't have an automatic right to be where we are.

You need a striker to push you that bit further, you buy Rasiak, you get Saha, you chase a dude who isn't in the Brazil squad who you know you can't afford but continue trying to buy him for 3 years. The time we do get in to the CL we don't really go that bit further to make sure we stay there and you don't need to spend big money to do it, but you need to do the right scouting and make the right purchases.

I think there are an equal number who seem incapable of giving the chairman credit for the improvement of every facet of this club since taking over - including the quality of product we've been getting for some years now. To them he's just a dithering, tight fisted egomaniac.

You remember the other day when I said you should give Dempsey credit for the goals he scored and you told me well what about the debit he has for the games he didn't score, his misplace passes, etc?
Well, right back at ya.

If this is true and I do mean IF then we are a joke when it comes to signing players We're not talking big money for this fella and if we genuinely want him then we have to be competitive

Thing is, we don't know if they're mistakes by Levy or simply how he - and his boss - have decided to do business. It could very well be that they're fine losing out on top players if those players go for more than our internal valuation. It's maddening for us, but as it keeps happening over & over again, it looks less and less like "mistakes."

well if its true that hes just looking for a fat cheque then let him go elsewhere, not a player im convinced improves us and would sooner we spent elsewhere anyway.

But we don't know who the other clubs are and how much they might be offering.

For all we know it could be a CL team offering £80k a week. Are we at fault then?
