Please, please, please sign Doumbia. He will score 25+ without a doubt. I've watched him since he was in Switzerland with Young Boys, the guy just knows how to score.

So does Defoe, but he doesn't fit into our system so he's on his way this summer.

I've never seen Doumbia - what does he bring to the table that Defoe doesn't?

The chance to see Pleat's head explode as he tries to figure that jumble of vowels' cadence and connection

he's faster, a bit taller (6ft), a little stronger and can header to a degree.
looks good, not an out and out #9 though.

+ he recently said he only wants to move to a club that gets CL consistently, year in year out. kinda rules us out :(

Plus we play with VDV behind a target man so it kinda rules out paying mega bucks for a player who can only really operate in a 4-4-2.

If we got Doumbia and Remy we'd have the best Fifa striker force ever! :D

imo we wont get any of them

we will end up with adebayor and vdv again for next season.

it amazes me all of a sudden the itk that comes out when their was literally nothing since january. its likes its stored up in a little tin and all of a sudden bam! lol

ill be amazed if by time euro's start we have even signed one player. i really would. we are not champions league and players will hold off and off till money thats feeding down that chain.

and again with spurs , we are loaded up with garbage within squad on big wages and cant sell them on for any sort of money without taking a massive hit. jenas, bentley bassong to name just three off top of my head.

it will be the same old shit i u ask me come end of augest time. the fun of summer transfer window time has gone for me big time when it comes to spurs. im really sick od all the talk and talk and talk and talk from management players ex players and the like. we fucked up this season and imo heads shoudl fucking roll starting with first team not necessarily harry who i think has his hands tied alot but he too should have knuckles wrapped for letting us fade so bad for whatever reasons. dont care what any itk says it has massively set us back in all aspects. cud not give a monkeys about europa and wud love if we fielded a u 16 side next term.

Doumbia is not only a 442 striker...Where are you guys getting this from? He was only ever a lone striker in Switzerland where he won the topscorer award 3 years in a row and then at CSKA was a lone striker half the time with how volatile Vagner Love is/was.

EA would down grade them instantly
Yep. Seventy fucking eight as per. Maybe they increase to the giddy heights of 80 after 5 yrs. If of course, they aren't sold off after 2 yrs leaving you with Ryan Fredericks on the right wing and Kane up front in your 3rd season.

Soldado would be better. :cautious:

magic beans to pay for him i suppose.

i said before and ill keep saying it will be absolutely shocked if spurs break transfer record anytime soon. we are a penny pinching u know what club who deserve everything its gets when transfer targets dont come.

hindsight is great but gambles should have been taken in january if itk is to be believed that we could have had hazard and or remy( dont believe it myself ) but signings of this type should have been made above what maybe they shoudl have been then and i have no doubt we wud all be laughing at arsenal now. instead we penny pinched and chanced our arm and got what we deserved last saturday night.
