It's interesting to think about the best way to manage son back into form. Do we just keep starting him regardless of how he plays or bench him and bring on at 60 to see how he does?

It's going to be a strange season I feel. At about the time teams normally start clicking into top gear, November, they all piss off for a month for the WC. Meaning post WC will be a bit like starting a new season with ring rusty players etc.

With that in mind, I'm happy just grinding out the results for now and not too bothered about the performance. I'm expecting another tough away game but think we will come out on top. COYS

I think he’s gonna keep playing him till he scores as soon as he does I think son will be fine again
I think the S Korean tour was lot of pressure and maybe he didn’t have enough time to totally rest physically and mentally

? Oops. Shows how much attention I'm paying. I'd not have realised until 3pm. In my defense I have a trapped nerve in my neck and it's horrible.
A Spurs win will help it heal. Don't jump about when we score. Restraint(s) at all times.

The player whose inclusion would most interest me today is Lenglet. We need to know if he can recapture his Sevilla form, because if he does, that totally transforms this team from one that will be fighting for a top 4 place to fighting for a top 2 place.

In my opinion, Davies hasn't performed at a top tier level thus far, nor does he have the ball playing skill set Conte's system requires, so he shouldn't have free rein to be more or less be a nailed on starter every week. I also have concerns that continuing to leave Davies as the unchallenged starter in the LCB position could encourage less risk taking on his part when on the ball (watch for lots of backwards and sideways passing when he is pressed by Fulham if he starts today) and conservative defending where he sits back and allows players to come forward instead of pressing them like Romero does.

I know many will say Davies should start today with Lenglet to come in for Marseille, but why not give Lenglet a chance today and against Marseille to see who should start against Man City.

I think we’ll see Doherty a lot sooner than we see Spence.

I’d pick this team today, fresh legs at WB, ball playing CBs either side of Dier, with Richy getting a deserved start.

Lloris
Romero — Dier — Lenglet
Spence — Højbjerg— Bentancur — Sessegnon
Kulu — Kane — Richarlison
However, Conte will pick Emerson (or start Doherty) and Davies, and keep picking Son until he scores.

Already this early in the season it feels like we can't afford to drop any points.
Fingers crossed Doherty or even Spence get a turn today.

Can see a few shouts, but surprised not more are asking for Kulu to be benched - the man needs a rest asap, which was pretty evident from the West Ham game. Son-Kane-Richarlison is the way to go for this game. Kulu will then be fresh for CL.

Just want to give a big shout out to Sanchez - true professional, seems to be playing his best football now even though hes not a main starter anymore. Upmost respect and he deserves his spot at the club, definitely doesnt even deserve to be dropped but Romero is just a different beast altogother.

Clearly showing sessegnon at lwb in that lineup.

Depends on how your viewing it.
At least on some mobiles that WB/CM line will break and put Sessegnon in behind Kane. (Even though he should be at LWB)

Definitely Davies to start, along with Biss and Ben, Rom and Richie

Ben Davies fan club still going strong. Nothing against him myself, top pro, but Lenglet is way ahead of him with the ball at his feet. We need better passing from the back or the whole thing turns to porridge.
