I can see a Son Kane Richarlison attack with Kulu given a rest for CL.

Fulham’s start to the campaign has been surprisingly good. I am expecting another tough encounter and a narrow win.

Hopefully Richarlison will get his first start.

I think we’ll see Romero come back into the side. Højbjerg rested (that was a very nasty injury and his ankle ligaments must have been damaged), with Bissouma paired with Bentancur. I also expect to see a change somewhere in the front three, with Richarlison coming into the starting XI. Lastly, I’d be amazed if Sessegnon did not start. Perisic is 33 and should not play 3 games in 6 days with the CL about to start. Would not be surprised to see Doherty get minutes tomorrow either.

Tricky game this, Fulham will create chances for Mitrovic and can see him leaning on the back of Ben Davies all day long winning headers from set pieces.

This is a game where our plan needs to be to have a lot of the ball and keep them away from our goal, almost the opposite of our plan against N.Forrest.

We shall see…

richy for son
benta for biss
spence for emerson
romero for davi

easy
I really wish we could see Spence. I think he would provide a huge boost of speed, energy and playmaking from the RWB position. I know he's raw and would make mistakes. But I think the reward might be worth it. Plus, I think it would take Fulham completely by surprise as teams are probably thinking Emerson is locked on to start now.

I totally agree with you we should be seeing more of Spence.

I hate the raw narrative that has been thrust upon him, even by Conte.

We are talking about a player who, last year, played 50 games with a decent team (even playing against us) in a decent league.

A player who was rewarded with his selection in the Championship team of the year. You could even add he was arguably the best player in the best team in the Championship.

I hate this whole thing of him being some raw talent who isn't close to our level, it makes absolutely no sense.

Yeah I agree with the Spence dilemma as well.

We saw him in the FA Cup last season against Arsenal etc.

I don't get Conte's caution here at all. We desperately need more attacking thrust.

And its not like he's going into a weakened team, he's in with most of the first team.

It's Fulham at home not City away.

Surely Emerson cannot play again. He’s played 90 minutes every single game in a very demanding position. It’s getting negligent if he starts again.

Emerson has got fantastic fitness levels.

I just hope Conte starts using Spence but judging by his comments I think it's unlikely at the moment.

Would certainly give us another dimension imo.

It almost makes Spence look like bad business. Now I certainly don't think it is but if you would have told me at the end of last season that Emerson would be our starting RWB for the first 5 games of the season and at the stage no one looked close to replacing him I would have said not a fucking chance, yet somehow here we are.

Even Conte was saying that he'd have to rest Kane in this coming series of matches. Surely today's the day?

Spence is very unlikely given Conte’s comments. I’ll take Doherty for Emerson. It’s time Doc gets a proper run out, he must be up to fitness by now.

Not sure whether Romero is 100% fit yet, maybe Conte thinks we can win this one without him and save him for CL and City.

Richy deserves a start, but against Fulham I’d hope any combo of our 4 would work.

Bissouma needs a 2nd game, and it’ll be interesting to see if Hojbergs ankle is ok. If not, is Bentancur even over his concussion yet? Bissouma and Skipp would be a bit worrying given they’ve got so few minutes between them and are going straight into a big game together.

Don't think he will today. Maybe sub him off later in the game.

But he's the only one scoring goals.

Be madness to take him out for today.

Conte has confirmed Bentancur is good for today.

Yeah I’m sure he has but in contes system you cannot have a fullback playing every 3 days and constantly playing 90 mins. If he keeps doing that it will cost us
