I'm going to cut Harry some slack on that skied penalty but it was a shocker at a crucial point in the game

Just leaving the ground. Why do we make it hard for ourselves?? We should’ve been out of sight but shoot ourselves in the feet again.

Kane’s cross to Gill was shameful too
It was bizarre from Kane. The pass was on straight away then he takes it too far and hammers it, but not along the floor, for some reason to the short man in the middle that's never scored for us he chooses to hammer it aerial? Crouch would've struggled with that one.
And Kane's pen made Waddle's look good.

Made a real meal of that last 20.

Pleased Gil had some positive impact though.

Very rare for him to miss the target completely.
Felt he should have played the ball on the floor to Gil just after too ??‍♀️
Had they equalised, Kane would very much be to blame ?

Let’s not go over the top - it was largely a very good performance. The ending was almost classic self-destructing Spurs of old but it was only because we made those subs. Maybe Conte was wrong to make them but there couldn’t have been many who thought we couldn’t rest a few players at 3-1 up, with an extra man. What it shows is how vitally important Hojbjerg and Bentancur are to everything we do.

Agree... you see why he is sometimes hesitating taking off important players in some games... we become fragile because our allround technical ability and game management drops.

Even when we lead 3-1 against 10-man Frankfurt we should be able to rest players without our control, intensity and focus going down.

Yes we should but we finished the game with:

Bambi on ice at the back - no excuses not to be up to the required standard

Skipp and Bissouma in the middle. Skipp is only just back from a long term injury and Bissouma is still learning our game.

Emerson losing his head.

Moura and Gil alongside Kane. Moura was miles off the pace, to be expected to an extent but as a bare minimum work hard, he looked lost. Gil was a breath of fresh air. Could and should of had a goal if it wasn’t for Kane hitting the max power button on his cross.

I’m all for resting players but we completely lost our balance, presence, work rate and calmness.

Felt like West Ham all over again . Pleased with the win but as soon as we come up against anyone decent we are out. The mistakes that led to their goals don’t get made by top teams .

He doesn't really have a weak foot. As of May, he'd scored almost 45% of his PL goals with his "weaker" left. Which is the most of any forward with their weaker foot.

Naturally a right footer but has clearly worked so hard and for so long on his left foot that the drop-off in quality is none.

This is true and people disagreeing?

How can you defend the fact they went down to 10 mean and we STILL let them pull another goal back?

It just isn’t good enough and embarrassing to be honest.
Snobby fans crying after a game we've just won, now that's embarrassing.

Don't cut him slack, I'd say it happened because he demonstrably switched off after an hour thinking the game was done. Then, as always gets found out in these scenarios, when you get a gigantic boot up the arse and have to start playing again you can't. You're gone physically and mentally and can't switch it back on.

It was his own fault.

It's great that we got the points but do we really want to be sending the message to all future opponents that you always have a chance against Spurs - even if you're down to 10 men? FFS! The closing stages was like watching a kids match or an emotional pub team panicking. They're supposed to be professional not the Keystone Cops meets The Benny Hill Show!

Yeah, Conte set the tone with going with a 3-5-2.
We sat back far too much against a team with 10 men ??‍♀️

At least we looked solid at 3-5-2. The game mostly likely would have finished 3-1 but when we went back to 3-4–3 with all the subs it nearly ended in disaster.

Nothing snobby, I just feel it’s really bad and sloppy conceding when they are down to 10 men?

We need a better winning mentality and not make these kind of mistakes.

I won’t go any further as personally had a bit of a shit afternoon so maybe grumpier than usually, but it would be nice if we didn’t do such silly things.

Easy to say after the fact, but that was the first time in a long time I didn't feel confident about Kane taking a pen.

He was clearly blowing out of his arse and he did something weird in his run up. Just looked totally knackered and not his usual pre-pen self.

People either have short memories or haven’t been Spurs fans long enough….. I still remember being 3 up against City and losing 4-3….. and a shit City team with Shaun Goater in it as well.
The recent west ham debacle throwing a 3 goal lead with 10mins to go, at home, that takes some beating. Actually that ws similar problem as tonight, thinking the game was done when it fucking isn't. I dont know why professional footballers find that so hard to understand. Tbf I do think with that many subs you're asking for it ut against 10men??? Jeez.
