Lloris 6 - Nothing to do really

Naughton 6 - Pretty standard performance. Nothing outstanding and wasn't shit
Dawson 5 - Got caught out a couple of times
Vlad 6 - Nothing to do really, tried to get forward
Fryers 7 Thought he got forward better in the first half. Wasn't really tested either

Dembele 9 - Just edges MOTM just for the goal. Great performance
Paulinho 8.5 - Unreal today. I'm obviously not his biggest fan but credit where it's due. Sensational today before the injury, hopefully this is the Paulinho we brought and not the one before his suspension
Eriksen 6 - Poor delivery today, set pieces and crossing wasn't great. Out of position though
Lennon 7.5 - Put in some good pull backs for Ade and Soldado. Capped a decent performance with the goal

Soldado 7 - Good work off the ball and away from goal again but needs a goal from open play to get him firing.
Ade 7 - Again, good work off the ball and linking up play I though. Great to have him back

Capoue 6 - Not much to do, did his job
Lamela 6.5 - Some great moments. Loved that drop of the shoulder he did. Just hoping that big performance is just round the corner
Chadli 6 - Same as Capoue nothing to do really
Dude, that's pretty harsh ratings.

As you know I'm a staunch Dawson critic, but today he was very solid for his usual self.

I felt Chiriches dealt with Crouch perfectly and cut his brainfarts of recent.

Also, I never thought I'd write this but Naughton was extremely tidy and played well.

I literally have nothing to moan about. I might actually have to do something productive this evening

Actually thought Eriksen was good. Can see the potential in him to run games for us as he adapts.
I thought there was a stark contrast between how he played coming in from the left to how siggy plays from there.

Went for Vlad; I expected him to have a nightmare against Crouch and Walters, but didn't hear a peep out of their strikers, which is a good sign.

The referee was outstanding I felt, by far the best one we've had this season.

Also has anyone got the gif of Paulinho absolutely mugging off that player when he kept flicking it over his head?

I just gave them average ratings, I didn't think we had much to defend against so they didn't have to play well.

I thought Dawson could/ should have given away a penalty so marked him down

Fair enough and I haven't seen the penalty appeal for them, apparently it should of been given?

But hey ho - we won :D

Difficult to pick which makes a nice change. Had Paulinho stayed on I would pick him. He certainly looked refreshed after his suspension. But, Dembele is my MOM, outstanding today. Naughton should also get a mention.

Makes me wonder what games people here have been watching when they label Dembele a hindrance or limited. My favourite Spurs player to watch. Would be moronic to get rid as some have suggested.

My favourite player as well. I whined like a bitch for us to sign him for months and was made up when we did.

I hope we see the real Dembele under Sherwood as he was playing within himself under AVB's rigid game plan IMO, Although I'd say his hip injury curtails his true ability at times.

If he didn't have that injury I'm not sure we'd be able to keep him anyway.

I thought Dembele and Paulinho were far and away our best players today. Says something since everyone did fairly well today.

Fryers also played very well. Lennon got a goal, but still dont think he was that great today. Played okay though. Still needs to start against United since he usually gives them fits.

Soldado played pretty good. Unlucky not to convert thay chance in the first half in open play. Gotta work on that finishing!!!

Ade wasnt as good I thought but still did well.

You can tell that Naughton is clearly not a left back. Just seems alot more comfortable on the right and did well. Still think he should be sold for someone who can play both right and left back and look comfortable at both.

I think you also have to consider hes coming back from injury so doubt hes even fully fit currently

As already said it's between Paulinho and Dembele. I think Dembele edged it. My only gripe with Paulinho is that he leans back too much when he shoots, I've lost count the amount of times he's blazed shots way over the bar in games for us. Hopefully he finds his range next season. Maybe the air is heavier in Brazil? :D:p
