Positive from Werner, will be better once he’s settled and improved fitness.
Johnson disappointing again, poor delivery and doesn’t see the simple pass (or willing to attempt) to players running through from midfield.
Two points dropped, as we were by far the better side, but could have lost it in the final minutes.

Bentancur but special mention to Richarlison for his selfless work for the team.

BJ needs more aggression. Let 1bissaka bully him because of one strong challenge.

Best game for Richy with us so far? Good all round today.

PEH made a few mistakes second half but overall I thought him and Skipp were a big plus today. Our second choice midfield dominated at old Trafford. Imagine if we’d had Maddison, Sarr and Bissouma available too. Skipp in the centre is so much better than Skipp on the right. 2 great squad players to have.

Only negative today was Johnson who seems unable to take anyone on. And I still haven’t seen the pace everyone spoke about when he was at Forest. Has potential though and we know Bale was a bit soft when he first came through so once he hardens up and starts trying to affect the game, he could be a great player.

Werner did ok considering it was his first game but going forward I’d also like to see him take people on using his pace.

Richarlison MOTM. It’s so weird for me, he’s got 6 in 6 and works his bollocks off too, but I still see him as a little bit of a weak link, probably because we were spoilt with Kane. For everything he does well, I just wish he’d be better at the other things like hold up play, one on one, shooting, pace etc. But his heading and work rate are second to none. Very happy for him and was excellent today.

Bentancur great. Slowly and surely getting back to pre-injury Bentancur.

Richarlison mom, Bentancur and Romero also excellent. Only slight disappointment I had was with Johnson who never really got into the match.

All things considered that was a good performance.

Stating the obvious but we just lack a natural finisher and some of the shooting was so soft. As many have said, Kulu and Maddison and we bury united.

That said, Richarlison had a blinder and that headed goal was excellent. Worked so hard today.

Bentancur is just so good. And still rusty....

Skipp had a good game, notable contributions forward. That through ball hits sonny it's in. Volley attempts and showed for the ball.

I'd say only 1 player was poor today. As discussed. Don't like being negative but he can do so much better, just by being more aggressive. Boy need to find his testicles.

Werner looked lively. But also rusty.

Important point, just a shame we are missing so many players. It's building nicely though. This team is going to be too draw.

Great effort from the team, that was a class effort that bodes well for the rest of the season and when we get those out, returning. Udogie was MOTM for me.

As much as Bentacour ran the game.
I thought Richi was superb and worked his nuts off, so went for him

TBF to Johnson (who i thought was poor)
He was up against the defender everyone seems to say is the best 1V1 defender in the league in Wan Bissaka.

Still got into good positions though but just hammers the ball too hard on most occasions. SHows very little guile or finesse...

Bentancur for me was MOTM, shout out to Skipp though who did a decent job and covered mucho ground. (one lovely pass to Werner too)

Bit of rust and off the pace from a few but understandable, and our dominance was such that they barely attempted to press us after about 20 minutes (the Mighty Utd at home :D)

Timo looked a bit tentative but i suppose he's still learning what he has around him and what they're capable of.

Love Udogie (again) really bullied Gartacos. and showed plenty going forward (needs to cut the easy falls out though before he gets labelled)

Great to have Mickey and Romero back and although they were a bit off it early on they grew into the match before Mickey understandably went off with cramp.

Though Drago looked decent in his cameo too.

All around a pretty positive performance away to a supposed power with a pretty makeshift and lacking in minutes team. (y)

Ange just said Skipp and Udoghie were ill all week so that makes both their performances even more impressive. They ran their fucking socks off.

Very good - Richarlison, Bentancur, Romero
Impressive considering circumstances - Hojbjerg, Skipp
Solid - Udogie, VDV, Porro, Royal
Promising debut - Werner, Dragusin
Trying but not quite working - Johnson, Gil

Johnson may not have been great, but we have seen plenty of examples of his pace in previous matches. What we haven't seen is much quality!!

Happy with the performance. Back line looked a lot more composed with Cuti and Micky back. Midfield was short on creativity but had their moments. Skipp and Hojbjerg stepped up pretty well. Udogie and Porro put in big shifts, as we've come to expect. Werner didn't look like a debut and caused a few problems, Richy worked his nuts off. Johnson was again a bit tentative and didn't put any pressure on Wan Bissaka who was on a yellow. MOM Bentancur. So good to have him back and lasting 90+.

Good in buildup and could have had two or three assists; I’d have to watch the goals again but while he could have done better I didn’t think either was egregious and required very good finishes.

It feels like so many in the match thread hate Skipp, just because they hate Skipp.
He had a decent game today and is settling in more with every game he plays. He certainly doesn't lack effort and is actually almost better on the ball than people give him credit for.

That being said, MotM for me was split between Richy, Bents and Udogie.
Thought all three of them had really strong games.

Vicario barely had anything to do bar pick the ball out of his net. He's the first keeper we've ever had that doesn't give me palpitations with the ball at his feet, so calm.

Porro - thought he struggled first half v Rashford, not helped by Johnson ambling back a lot of the time, whatever Ange changed at half time Rashford didn't get a sniff.

Romero/VDV - Great to have them back, looked a little rusty at the start but by the end they were back to their best.

Udogie - this kid. Garnacho barely got any change out of him all day. Bullied him.

Bentancur - smooth like something that's smooth. Glides around the pitch. Great goal.

PEH/Skipp - throwing them in together but thought both, although limited, were good. Hojbjerg progressed the ball well and worked really hard off the ball. Skippy played the pass of the game and a little unlucky to have had his shot deflected wide second half. Played a good part in the second goal too, moved into space and released Timo.

Werner - worked hard. Needs some confidence but can we exactly why we signed him.

Richy - fantastic. His best performance to date I reckon. Great goal and pressed high constantly, won the ball back up the pitch often and brought his team mates into the game.

Johnson - eugh. Soft in challenges, poor delivery. Needs, if possible, to be playing as an impact sub for a few weeks
