Who did we attract when we were last in it!? No one. We won't have anymore money to spend. It will be more about keeping our current players and enjoying tues/weds nights
Hazard was going to sign for us, until we lost our CL spot.

People say that every single year. Yet every year we finish 5th or thereabouts. I don't see Liverpool as much of a threat any more than any other year TBH. The others you mention may very well improve. But so will we.

Yes we finish 5th most years, which is ok, but will we be in such a position next year?

Last year Chelsea and United and Liverpool were going to be a force this season. And the year before that other clubs and so on…...

I'm not saying they wont be but blimey, this gets trotted out more often than "Levy is a genius" :D

Lets stop soiling our trollies at what other clubs might do and go for it big time. We can deal with the self inflicted trauma later :woot:

In the meantime lets win it now...fuck next year i might be dead

Honestly don't understand why so many people are shitting themselves and say they'd cash out. We're fucking fans, we don't actually achieve anything or get anything for playing it safe but if we back the team to go for it, we might get to revel in something incredible these lads we back each week achieved. I just don't see the point in being a football fan and settling.

I want us to go for the title...If we fail, so be it. Our young team could learn more from such experience & would help in future seasons. With United, Liverpool & Westham dropping points consistently, worst could happen is 4th. Thats a improvement in itself

I'm mostly worried about the Europa league starting again, and I want us to win the league, but i'd take a treble win as well.

Aim for the title, aim to win every game and see where we finish. Never settle for second while first is up for grabs.

Dont see the point in cashing out. 2nd, 3rd and 4th are all the same thing. Even if we do drop off a little from the top it would take a really bad run of form to drop out of the top 4 - and the consistency we have shown this season would not suggest such a slump. Play to win, who knows if/when we will get this chance in the future. If we come up short, as i said, it doesn't matter if we are 2, 3 or 4.

The realist/pessimist in me says that ultimately we'll be overhauled by the quality of Man City and Arsenal, and that 5 points is a lot to make up on an in-form Leicester, so I still see 4th as being our most likely finishing place.

That doesn't mean I'd cash-out at this point though. Whilst I'm being pessimistic, it's still the best chance we've had of winning the league in my lifetime, and none of the other teams are guaranteed to improve/keep going. I'd easily take the risk of coming 4th for the benefit of possibly coming top.
