just listened to the fighting cock podcast, and they ask if you could, would you cash out now? Take second or do you think we can win it? Majority seems to be on playing on. I keep thinking we gonna mess things up, but then rational that by thinking our blip was the first 4 games of the season, and we are playin well week in week out. I think we will be top 2 come end of season with a real chance at first. Play on I say.

By voting no i've probably jinxed us and we'll now finish 5th but we have to play on this season is the most un-predictable ever, whether we like to say it or not we've never had a better chance in the premier league era of winning the league.

Most of us have never seen us win the league....

Next season City,Chelsea,Utd and possible Lpool will be a force...this may be our last chance for many years.

Fuck cashing out.

I genuinely think we will be more of a force next season as well, especially if we come Top 3. We can actually attract the type of player that will improve us.

Last year Chelsea and United and Liverpool were going to be a force this season. And the year before that other clubs and so on…...

I'm not saying they wont be but blimey, this gets trotted out more often than "Levy is a genius" :D

Lets stop soiling our trollies at what other clubs might do and go for it big time. We can deal with the self inflicted trauma later :woot:

Nah. I'd rather play the season through and see what happens. It's not THAT important to finish 2nd that we can't risk it for a little rollercoaster towards the end.

Play on. As daft as this may sound the financial reward for finishing in the champions league isn't that big nowadays for the cash rich premier league clubs anyway.

Not finishing in the champions league places I don't think is a big deal as it once was.

Exactly right, those clubs could be even worse next year than this year, football is unpredictable now, we could utterly stomp the league next year, alternatively we might be ten times worse, nothing would surprise me these days (that being said we only look like we are going to get better) whilst United and co look like they are stagnating and I doubt Leicester will repeat their form.

I can't see us losing another match in the Premier League. All our remaining games are winnable.

Therefore all we have to do is hope Leicester drop a few points along the way.

Hypothetically, I probably would. In the sense that I don't think we'll win the league, so I'd take 2nd, straight into the CL groups, finally finish above that lot.

BUT

If this was a real life, genuine option for me to make, I would never be able to cash out. My whole life, I'd be thinking "what if..", and I couldn't deal with that. I want to see how it's going to pan out.

While I would be over the moon with second, I wouldn't take it now. This is the best chance we've had to win the league in the modern era and you never know when another chance like this will come around again.

People seem to have forgotten the point of supporting a football club is to see them win trophies.]

Give me a summer parade through the streets of North London drunkenly singing Chas n Dave songs any day over being in the draw for the group stages of another cup.

I wouldn't cash out now because I genuinely believe we will finish top three and at worst in fourth. We're just too consistent and our goal difference should tell us to feel confident. Unless we drop off, which is possible I guess. But I don't even see us doing that, Poch is rotating more this season and we've got real quality in depth covering most positions. Only a serious injury to Kane would possibly see us fall out of the top four IMO

As for next year I only see us becoming stronger. People going on about other Clubs being stronger is fine but ffs don't overlook us getting a lot stronger either. We're a settled team/squad whilst other Clubs will be making sweeping changes that requires time for players to settle, bond and gel.

We're past that point, well past it. We're flourishing as a group and I can see Poch tweaking it a little in the summer but not too much. And that's a very good sign IMO. The younger ones will have more experience under their belts and having played more minutes together will only see the collective understanding grow.

I definitely wouldn't cash out. While I wouldn't be surprised if we finished below second, I am now pretty confident we'll at least make fourth - I'd take that risk of needing a group stage qualifier for the potential upside of winning the league, for sure. Being completely honest (and I know they've confounded everyone constantly this season, so I might well be entirely wrong), I still don't think Leicester will win the league, and I would still make City and Arsenal our biggest threats to winning it. Make no mistake, we ARE in a title race now (albeit as outsiders - we're fourth favourites at the moment, and that's probably right given Leicester's points lead and Arsenal/City's experience) and I believe we have the consistency and the bottle needed to still be there or thereabouts come the end of the season. The possibility of the glory of winning the league is worth the outside chance that we contrive to finish outside the top four.

Agree. Still dont think its Leicester who will win it.

We need to win it if only because it may be either that or Arsenal. I wouldnt call it an outside chance to be honest, we are right in the thick of it.
