What's the single worst thing you've seen a Spurs player do?

At a really boring game against Norwich in the 70's a pigeon stayed on the pitch and was running up and down the pitch, the crowd started cheering it on each time it got in the Norwich half, until Terry Naylor ran up to it and kicked it into the East stand, feathers everywhere. He was booed every time he touched the ball after that. The highlight of the game.

In terms of our goalkeepers, Hugo's distributions and kicking, Gomes's consistency (I still remember he put down the ball and Nani cleverly steals it and scores), Cudicini's love of motorbike, Kane's MOTM performance as a GK

Q: Has it been overhyped, or was drenching Harry Redknapp with water after Spurs got into the Champions League by beating Manchester City really something that broke your relationship with him?

Bentley: I think it was, yes. He wasn’t happy; he thought I was being disrespectful. I did it because we all loved him so much. I had played a lot and been involved. I was dropped for the game, even though I had set up goals the week before – he picked Aaron Lennon ahead of me – so I could have had the hump with him but I didn’t. I was well happy. We’d done it. I was part of it, and because the whole dressing room liked him, I did him with the water. It got back to me that he wasn’t pleased, and that was disappointing because I really like him.

This always made me sad. Whilst it's far from the worst thing I've seen a player do, it was one of the worst things to happen to a player (self inflicted). Purely because I idolised Gazza and that 1991 tackle lives on in my memory. I was at the game too so the memory is vivid. It was his final appearance.

When Soldado was clean through away to Fiorentina. Could have rounded the keeper or squared to Chadli for a tap in but instead passed the ball to the keeper

The angriest I've been with a Spurs player for something on the pitch in recent years was Soldado's square pass to Chadli after being put through clean on goal against Fiorentina in the Europa League a couple of years ago. The decision to pass was definitely the correct one, but the execution was a careless, unprofessional joke that had nothing to do with a lack of confidence/poor form/bad luck etc, and it was the absolute nadir of Soldado's disastrous spell at Spurs.

Lol I wrote the same thing then read this! Some reason that Soldado moment got to me

I remember Davids passing to Jenas v Liverpool and Jenas missing from about 6 yards, open goal. The look on Davids face pretty much summed up Jenas and the situation.

Seem to remember that it was 0-0 at the time and then they went straight down the other end and scored.

So more people only hate Ghally for throwing a shirt and not Keane.

Nothing odd about that then..

Always thought he was quite harshly treated. He'd been subbed on and then was subbed off half an hour later, could understand why he was annoyed. Jol publically came out and slagged him off for it and our fan base never forgave him. There was a game under Redknapp a couple of years later where he was about to come on and then the crowd all booed him so Harry told him to sit back down! Poor guy.

I'd like everone that hates Ghally for it but ignores Keane to explain why tbh.

All the goals we conceded in this game were pretty shocking but 20 seconds and 2 mins 12...

Sorry but when it comes to Spurs shortcomings I have a goldfish memory. How else could I muster genuine hope before each game? It's a bit like golf where you remember the one good shot and forget the other 80, 90, 100 or whatever

That Stuart Nethercott performance at Elland Rd in the FA Cup Semi final will live long in the memory

One of many many terrible defenders I could have picked out that we've witnessed over the years

That was pretty normal for Spurs defending. I always remember Gray asking what is Doherty doing in shock! Lol

I am in awe of the standards we supporters maintain.

I remember being at that Leicester game. It's easy to forget just how bad we were in recent times. Doherty and Richards....truly awful.
