I bet our only target this winter will be the same as our only target from summer, Martial. And we won't get him. It will run on all window and end with nothing.
De Ligt injured so Frenkie De Jong plays as a CB today
He’s basically Eric Dier but good at football
He’s an exceptional talent, but I do wonder about his physique in the PL. considering the way he likes to play I think it would take a while before he could control a game in the PL. Although it’s a moot point as he’s pretty much nailed on to go to Barca. It’s the move he wants.Sounds ideal
Why don't we ever seemingly shop in Spain? There are talented player galore over there.
I think it’s to do with Levy never ever paying anything in full upfront. In order to activate a release clause normally you have to pay everything up front. So even if a player is valued at 10 mil we will offer 4 with 6 mil over x years. Most teams do this but with us I think release clauses don’t really hold much weight.Thats not true though, there are plenty of bargains to be had. Real Betis alone has lost 2 really talented midfielders in the last 2 years due to the release clauses that are required in contracts over there. We should be taking advantage of that. Our obsession with the French league is bizarre.

Sounds like you want Poch Out pal.A win
In Spain the players buy themselves out of the contract basically a club gives them the money to buy themselves out and then they’re free to sign for the clubI think it’s to do with Levy never ever paying anything in full upfront. Aye, but they still need to pay it upfront in full is my understanding. In Spain the players buy themselves out of the contract basically a club gives them the money to buy themselves out and then they’re free to sign for the club

Still going strong from last night? Good man!Yeah meant to say that but drunk ?
Since it’s a wishlist and all, let January come around and lay £50m on the table for Loftus Cheek. I would say that is absolutely a fair price for him, considering he has 30 mins of football so far this year, behind Jorginho, Kante, Fiberglass and Barkley In the order. Can Chelsea really sit and say they wouldn’t sell for that?
For RLC it’s potentially attractive as his England Chums are here and we have proven to be a good pathway for kids into the England setup, plus our dire need for a midfielder would mean he can come in and be “the man” for the next 5 years easy!
I don’t buy this whole strengthening rivals shit. Arsenal sold Chelsea Giroud, Chelsea sold Arsenal Cech, Arse and Utd did the Mikh/Sanchez swap. We sold Walker to City, if the price is right it’s right.
We could offer £50m for Loftus Cheek, no shot Palace could, you know Chelsea would want Zaha in any deal anyway!
He was there for the taking. Where do you see him in this squad though? He and Dele occupy the same space... The same space I think Eriksen is best in as well.Fekir has been causing City many problems tonight. Really wish he was a target. Could get him and ndombele and we would be greatly improved.
Beauty with Fekir is he can play everywhere, LW, RW, CF, CM etc. He’s a very clever footballer and extreamly versatile. Great goals in him. I think it’s very easy to focus on our first 11 but we have seen over the last few games what happens when Eriksen doesn’t play well. I love Lamela but Poch doesn’t seem to see him as a viable alternative to Eriksen and Dele certainly isn’t. With Fekir you would have someone who would push Eriksen for that role in our starting 11 but would also be very adept at playing elsewhere. Creative depth is something we lack. Aside from that... if Eriksen doesn’t commit to a new contract then we would be sorted with a replacement when we would be forced into selling him next summer (last chance to get any sort of significant fee for him).He was there for the taking. I agree about the player and think he is special. The thing I've read is he isn't as effective out on the wing as he is in the middle of the field behind the striker, but there are plenty of idiots who write things about football on the internet.Beauty with Fekir is he can play everywhere, LW, RW, CF, CM etc. He’s a very clever footballer and extreamly versatile.
