You’ve convinced me @Ghost Hardware but I think as far as a left footed attacker is concerned, we’d more likely move for Roony Bardghji who plays for FC Copenhagen (Lange’s old club), is a CAA Base Agency client, aged 18, 2 years left on his contract.

Maybe I’m just putting together the wrong things, but if you were a betting man..

I thought soule was heavily linked to Newcastle too
Us, Newcastle and Crystal Palace apparently all have interest. If we want him you’d think he’d choose us over them considering the amount of his countrymen we have, the Paratici connection and being in London. Assuming there is any truth in the rumours of course which there might not be. Even tho Juve are strapped they would be idiotic to sell him imo.

Ironically he’s being linked to Juve amongst others currently. The CAA and Lange link would make sense as you say, I can see your logic there.

Nice updates Ghost 👍.

Also with the fact that Kulu has played so well centrally in the last two games I think another RW is the position (along with CB obviously) that we could do with reinforcements.

Great updates there and insight on Soule @Ghost Hardware

One must imagine we are an attractive place for any young prodigious talent from South America with the contingent we already have here and under the guidance of an uber attacking coaching philosophy.

These certainly seem the type of deals we'll look primarily towards as opposed to some fans fanciful targets like Vlahovic, Osimhen etc.

Yeah agreed. But I think the more Soules, Kelly’s etc we sign (cheaper deals for young talents/system suiting) hopefully it means in the summer if we are in a position to go big in one position. Ideally a striker, or winger.

Thanks bud and I completely agree, whilst it would be very exciting to get the likes of Osimhen or Kvaratskhelia etc realistically there are a lot of very exciting talents out there that could well become even better in time. Yes i'd love it if we pushed the boat out for one of them but I just don't see it happening. I just don't see us spending north of 70 mil even in the summer and thats how much most established stars are these days.

Got to be honest, im concerned if we are looking to bring him in as a WF. If it's to convert him to a LB then I think it's a very interesting idea. If we want a LWF we should only be going for Nusa. If we want a RWF then Soule.

Yeah from what I've seen and read I reckon you are right. What I would say is if he does count as HG then £15m for a young, HG player with potential to improve is a good deal.

For LW I want Nusa or Jota loan with option.

For RW I wanted Bakayoko but I'm happy with Soule as you seem to rate him so highly.

Don't believe so as he wasn't registered at Chelsea for 3 years
He left Chelsea 3 years ago when hew was almost 17 y.o. Now he is 20 y.o. in 10 months will turn 21. "For a player to be considered homegrown, they must have played for an FA-affiliated club for at least three years before turning 21".
No chance.

Would we genuinely be looking at him if he doesn’t though?
Am I right though in saying if he came in January and being 20 he would then qualify as it would constitute 3 years overall - just staggered that's all as he had 2 years at Chelsea academy?

I saw Kelly's name on that list. Can't see us going for him now, given he has reportedly done his hammy and will be out for 'some weeks'. There is always the chance, I suppose, that he will still be around in the summer when he becomes a free agent. I wouldn't bet the house and the dog on that though.
