Why do my clubs transfer targets get aired in the public arena?

Why did Harry fly out to watch Adriano without prior indication of him being interested in joining us?

Why do I read about harrys alleged rant in the dressing room after Sundays defeat to Wigan?

These are just a couple of examples of tittle tattle that have emanated from our club in the past week, there our many more. I don't see this from other clubs, man u buy someone wham they are in, Asenal buy someone wham they are in no BS. This is something that needs to be addressed as I believe it undermines what we produce on the football pitch and that of course is the bottom line

Discuss.

Yeah, it bothers me too, the amount of bad press and shit that the media get to print about our club. It's like a soap opera at times. Not living in London I'm not as exposed to it as most of ye, but wtf?

Jamturk, you seem to be a bit confused, first you moan about the clubs transfer targets being aired in public, then you moan about Harry flying out to watch Adriano without any prior indication.

Also dont beleive everything harry says, he's a master at the smoke and mirrors approach employed in transfer deals.

Southgate also sought to clarify reports suggesting Downing had handed in a written transfer request in the wake of confirmed interest from Spurs. "Stewart asked about the possibility of a move. He knows we have had bids from Tottenham because that's the way they work," he added.

Another example there, but i think a lot of clubs have a bad rep when it comes to dealing with transfers.

I've got a related question - why do so many of our supporters believe what is written on the internet (via sites such as newsnow).

I've seen a video of Christina Aguilera shagging on the internet, but I don't actually believe it to be true.

There was just as much speculation in the summer. That's all it is.

You notice it with spurs because you take pay more attention to reading anything related to them.

If you were a Arsenal fan, youd be saying - Why are arsenal so unprofessional.

It happens everywhere. O, and just because you read Harry was in Milan, does not mean you have to take it at face value, could just be another rumour amongst many transfer Rumours.

Apparently Bentley is in Ibiza - make of it what you will

My point was if he had flown over to look at Adriano, I repeat if. Firstly i read that he was in Italy to watch him, secondly I hear we are interested in loaning him, thirdly His agent comes out saying he is'nt going anywhere he is staying in Milan. So I was just wondering would a manager of a premier league club go to another country to watch someone if he had'nt prior knowledge that the said player was interested in playing for the club of the stated manager?

Maybe he was interested. As others have said dont believe everything you read. The way I see it is that the press see us as a bit of an easy target and at the same time they know the stories will sell papers. At the end of the day the majority of stories from clubs and players (and agents!!!) these days are more to do with PR spin than content so just trust no one!

I dont think clubs are as bad as the media makes out. Media, agents, it all gets blown out of proportion for their benefits

I've seen a video of Kelly Brook at it (on the internet), shared it with some SCers and it was 'pulled' from the site the next day. I believed it was her as did my compradres here.

:)

Too right

I would imagine tapping up players is even worse in the lower leagues, because there's less scrutiny on clubs
