No story as far as I am concerned,a storm in a tea cup generated by Sky. Yes his arm did go high but he was challenging for the ball. It wasn't a dangerous elbow just a push in the face. Unintentional at best. Football is after all a contact sport. We have all seen worse challenges go unpunished.

He was a prat for getting himself booked and banned for Watford. He'll be lucky to escape further action for this.

I don't really care if Fonte does or doesn't have retrospective action taken. They're nowhere near us in the league so it won't help us.
I don't mind players getting stuck in when the game is on the line, sometimes we don't do it enough if you compare us with other teams near the top. The time of his booking was careless because the game was dead. We could do without a ban and Toby back at the top of his game.

My concern is we could be going into Watford game with Dier and Winner at CB!!!

Any two of Toby Wimmer and Dier is the likely outcome at CB, this should be sufficient at Watford. A rested Vertonghen and Toby for the Chelsea game is a strong possibility. Why does everyone look at the negatives all the time. COYS
